摘要： User equipment (UE) is configured to automatically detect the presence of an access point (AP) in any one of a plurality of venues and to transmit identification information to the AP to authenticate the UE. The venue receiving the authentication request transfers the authentication request and identification information to an authentication server to automatically authenticate the UE whenever it is carried inside a venue. The venues may be coupled to a Cloud network with the authentication information stored on the Cloud network. Whenever the UE enters any of the venues, the UE is automatically authenticated when it comes within range of any AP within any of the venues. The venue may use an application program interface to provide advertising, coupons, web links, images, audio, video, streaming video, and the like to the UE. The venue may direct the UE to a website or provide a link to the website.

摘要： A cell tower is manufactured from a steel plate that is pressed into a polygon form, such as a 12-sided polygon or a 16-sided polygon. The tower is designed for direct embedding into the ground or attachment to a buried portion. The base portion contains apertures sized to permit the installation of an equipment rack directly into the interior of the tower. Other apertures in the tower provide handholes for installation of the equipment, backup batteries, and cabling. The top section of the cell tower includes mounting members for one or more sets of cellular radio antennas and/or microwave antennas. The antennas, and associated remote radio units, are mounted to the top of the cell tower and are hidden from view by one or more shrouds. The shrouds provide a visible barrier, but have minimal impact on the radio frequency characteristics.

摘要： A video distribution technique permits individual users to view a streaming video of an event if they are located outside an exclusion zone surrounding the location of the event. The exclusion zone may be a distance (e.g., 50 miles) or a geographical zone (e.g., a city or county border). When a user attempts to subscribe to the streaming viewing, the system determines the location of the user. If the user is within the exclusion zone, the request for streaming is rejected. If the user location is outside the exclusion zone, the request for streaming is accepted. User location can be determined using global positioning system (GPS) data, cell-assisted location data, WiFi location data or the like.

摘要： A video distribution technique permits individual subscribers to pay a nominal fee to follow celebrities and receive videos directly therefrom. An individual may qualify as a broadcaster by having a sufficient fan base as measured by the number of followers in existing social media services. The broadcaster uploads video to a central processing service where it may be transcoded to a convenient communication protocol for distribution. In addition, a warning message is sent to all subscribers of a particular broadcaster to indicate the impending arrival of an incoming video from the broadcaster. In one embodiment, the broadcaster can limit distribution of the video based on a geographic restriction. The broadcaster provides the restriction data and the system filters the subscriber list to include subscribers that meet the geographic requirements, such as residence in a particular area or current presence within a certain area. Messages sent only the targeted subscribers.
