    • A method and apparatus for storing data is provided herein. During operation, a server will sign only the signatures of the data portions that were generated during the live local capture. The signature of the local signatures generated during the live local capture will then be used to verify the integrity and authenticity of the local signatures. When the integrity and authenticity of the local signatures is verified, an entity can be assured that server is trusted. When a portion of data is to be removed from the server, the data is removed, without removal of its live-local signature. Because data blocks can be deleted as long as the signature remains stored, the overall incident signature, generated at check-in to the trusted server, will still be verifiable as protecting the authenticity and integrity of all remaining data.

    • A method and apparatus for providing channel feedback is provided herein. During operation a covariance matrix at time t (R) is calculated as a function of a received downlink signal. In order to reduce overhead, R is normalized and quantized. The base unit then uses the covariance matrix estimate to determine appropriate channel beamforming weights, and instructs transmit beamforming circuitry to use the appropriate weights. In an embodiment, circuitry performs a method of calculating a first precoding matrix index I from a codebook using a received signal, calculating a second codebook index J* using the first precoding matrix index I to approximate a covariance matrix and calculating a quantized coefficient α* to approximate the covariance matrix wherein the quantized coefficient α* is determined using the first precoding matrix index I.

    • A method is provided for maximizing utility of a media delivery network having a media source, a first media adaptor, a second media adaptor and a media renderer. The media source can provide data in a first format and a second format. The first media adaptor can receive the data in the first format from the media source. The first media adaptor can further provide data in a third format based on the received data in the first format.
