    • A portable barrier includes a pedestal assembly and a cover assembly. The pedestal assembly including (i) a plurality of legs that are movable with respect to each other, the plurality of legs includes a first lateral leg having a first free leg end portion and a second lateral leg having a second free leg end portion, and (ii) a first limiter connected to both the first lateral leg and the second lateral leg. The cover assembly includes a cover assembly including (i) a plurality of arms that are movable with respect to each other, the plurality of arms includes a first lateral arm having a first free arm end portion and a second lateral arm having a second free arm end portion, and (ii) a covering connected to both the first lateral arm and the second lateral arm. The portable barrier is configured to be relatively quick and simple to deploy for use and collapse for subsequent transportation and storage thereof.

    • An air supported positively pressurized flexible material shelter for use on a surface comprising a flexible wall and a skirt connected to the wall and surrounding the flexible wall. A source of vacuum being propagated beneath the skirt along the flexible wall, to vacuum the skirt down to the surface to secure the temporary shelter to the surface. The skirt forms a continuous connection with the surface around the entire perimeter of the shelter. An optional flexible seal is provided essentially parallel to a vacuum channel and on an exterior edge of the skirt spaced from the flexible wall.

    • An inexpensive enclosure providing a protected space on a beach, lawn or the like. An inflatable tube forms a wall surrounding a space having an open end, so that a user is shielded from small kicked or thrown material or objects, running pets and the like. The tubular wall has flaps extending from its bottom surface, with pouches or separate tubes which a user fills at the site to hold the enclosure in place. The enclosure may have a floor, and may have attachment portions for removably connecting an extension unit having a floor which extends beyond the open end of the space between side portions of the wall.

    • A collapsible shade structure includes a plurality of foldable frame members each having a folded and an unfolded orientation. A fabric material is provided for substantially covering the frame members to form a side panel for each frame member, each side panel assuming the unfolded orientation of its associated frame member. Interconnecting portions of the fabric material form a hinge portion between each frame member. Alternatively, frame retaining sleeve portions may be used to interconnect and retain two or more frame members from two or more adjacent side panels and to act as hinge portions. The structure may be folded and stored by folding the side panels and their corresponding frame members on top of each other about the hinge portions to have the side panels and frame members overlying each other. The overlaying side panels and frame members are then collapsed by twisting and folding to form a plurality of concentric frame members and side panels to substantially reduce the size of the shade structure.

    • A lightweight fabric structure is provided with a fabric membrane having a pocket type configuration formed along the center seam of the membrane with a T-shaped center pole positioned in the pocket. The lightweight fabric structure may have one or more pockets and corresponding T-shaped center poles. The pavilion type tent structure includes at least four side poles staked about the periphery of the structure with a flexible fabric membrane in tension between the side poles. The shape and configuration of the panels provide tension distribution over the entire fabric structure. The longitudinal center seam of the fabric membrane carries the maximum force. The T-shaped center poles with pocket configuration facilitates the redistribution of the forces from the point where multiple panels of the membrane converge at a single location.
