    • A drain trap adaptor adapted to allow draining of a drain trap and retrieval of a material. The drain trap includes a first drain pipe having an entry portion and an exit portion, a second drain pipe extending from the exit portion and a bore disposed substantially at the exit portion. The drain trap adaptor includes a ball valve having an inlet end and an outlet end, wherein the inlet end is adapted to connect to the bore; and a container adapted to connect to the outlet end of the ball valve. The container is configured to receive the drainage trapped in the drain trap and the material at the bore upon opening of the ball valve such that the drain trap can be drained and the material can be retrieved.

    • This invention prevents blockage that occurs in the general drainage traps of buildings. The invention consists in connecting a conduit by positioning it in the inlet part above the trap water float level (M) and in the outlet part below a line (N) thereby forming a new auxiliary trap. The invention is suitable for use in traps in buildings which are connected to the common sewage system. The invention informs and thereby prevents the obstruction of the trap by the use of an alarm which is installed in the conduit wherein the water is diverted due to gravity when the conduit is obstructed and signals any obstruction in the conduit so that it can be cleared without waiting for the consequences of such a situation to occur. Also although water flows freely through the auxiliary trap section air does not freely communicate between the inlet and outlet pipes and foul odors are avoided.

    • A trap incorporating an access fitting and of the type that may be designed into a P-trap, or S-trap configuration, the trap including an inlet segment and an outlet segment, both being integrally joined together, and a lower arcuate portion forming the access fitting that intervenes and joins together for communication the interior channel through the trap, the interior channel being of a fixed diameter throughout its extent, and forming a continuous smooth wall interior surface along the entire length of the trap. A flange projects integrally from both the combined upper inlet and outlet integral sections, while a corresponding and registering flange extends from the arcuate portion for arrangement in alignment with the upper segment flange to facilitate assembly of the trap. The plane of separation between the upper segments and the lower arcuate portion or fitting is provided between the weir formed by the interior surface of the channel formed between the upper inlet and outlet segments, and that location downwardly therefrom where the fixed diameter of the channel commences to reduce in dimension below its full diameter due to its lower disposition within the arcuating portion of the access fitting of the trap.
