摘要： A wing protection system for increasing avoidance of grounded aircraft utilizes a first wing clamp and a second wing clamp to attach to an aircraft wing. The first wing clamp and the second wing clamp are connected to a central support that is used to mount and house an electronics assembly; the electronics assembly including a plurality of sensors, a processor, and a peripheral alert system. The plurality of sensors detects objects approaching the grounded aircraft, while the peripheral alert system provides a visual and audible alert to the presence of the grounded aircraft; the processor receiving signals from the plurality of sensors and dictating appropriate action of the peripheral alert system. A linear actuator is slidably coupled to the first wing clamp, allowing the wing protection system to be fitted to several types of aircraft. A surveillance camera can also be provided for video surveillance of the grounded aircraft.

摘要： A method for locating markers in an image captured by a mobile device moving about an operating space. The method includes preprocessing an image to generate a set of image data, locating fixed features of markers by tracing edges of the fixed features, and extracting variable data payloads of each of the markers associated with the located fixed features. The fixed features of each of the markers may include a pair of parallel lines extending along opposite sides of a data area containing the variable data payload, and each of the lines extends a distance beyond each exposed end of the data area to avoid missing data when markers are not arranged orthogonally to the scan direction. The preprocessing involves rotating or skewing the image to provide rotated or skewed versions of the image to facilitate locating markers regardless of their angular orientation in the image.

摘要： An aircraft ground safety device that illuminates the blades of a spinning aircraft propeller with bright colored light in order to improve visual awareness of the danger zone created by an otherwise inviable propeller spinning at high RPM. The device consists of lighting fixtures (typically LEDs in the currently envisioned embodiment of the invention) mounted on the propeller blades of an aircraft that display the aircraft propeller as a brightly colored disk of light when the propellers are spinning, as well as an electrical power supply to the aforementioned lighting array, provided by a slip ring connector and powered by the by the electrical system of the aircraft. The lighting array is intended to activate whenever the blades are in motion to further the aim of safety in aviation.
