摘要： The electrical cover comprises a friction-held electrical cover for a recessed light fixture. Embodiments of the electrical cover described herein provide flexible finish material covers that guard recessed “can” light fixtures from paint, spackling, and other foreign materials. The frictionally-held finish material covers utilize specifically shaped features on the surfaces, such as negative draft, that contact the electrical components to increase the hold on the electrical device. Some of the shaped features of the frictionally-held covers also help minimize stress in the cover. Features are also molded into the parts to assist and strengthen the cover once installed, and thus protect against the intrusion of finish material behind the cover.

摘要： The electrical cover comprises a press-fit or other type of fastener held electrical cover. Embodiments of the electrical cover described herein provide flexible finish material covers that guard light switches from paint, spackling, and other foreign materials. The covers utilize specifically shaped features on the surfaces that help minimize stress in the cover. The fasteners used to hold the light electrical covers are specifically designed to accommodate variations in manufacturers threaded hole positions and diameter tolerances. The electrical covers are shaped with an arched rear surface that assists in minimizing edge warping when the electrical cover is positioned against the wall surface. Features are also molded into the parts to assist and strengthen the cover flatness once installed, and thus protect against the intrusion of finish material behind the cover.

A lever structure is pivotly coupled to the housing by a fulcrum fixedly attached to the housing. The lever structure comprises a lever having an upper side for receiving an external force and a lower side for engaging a head on the plunger member to generate actuation of the rocker switch during pivotal rotation of the lever.

A coil spring coaxial with the lever and enclosing a portion of the lever forces a plunger against an actuator that rocks to place a spring blade in contact with blade contacts to operate the switch. The blade contacts are snapped into the case of the switch to maintain the blade contacts in a desired position, and are potted with a potting compound to make a seal. The actuator may be shaped in one of several ways to provide maintained contact, momentary contact, or a combination of these. 摘要： An electrical rotary switch in use with an automatic transmission for detecting the operative position of the transmission and controlling an electric circuit associated with the positions of the transmission. The switch comprises a switch casing composed of a base plate and a cover plate each formed of an electrically insulating material and provided in its interior surface with a plurality of fixed contacts. Supported between the base plate and the cover plate is an actuator which is rotatable about a rotation axis in response to the changing positions of the automatic transmission. The actuator has a coupling end to be interlocked with a control output shaft of the transmission which is provided to rotate in synchronism with changing positions of the transmission. The actuator has first and second opposed faces each confronting the interior surface of each one of the base plate and the cover plate, and carries first and second movable contacts respectively on the first and second faces for electrical conduction between selective ones of the fixed contacts on the individual plates depending upon a particular angular position of the actuator about the rotation axis. Also formed on the switch casing is a terminal assembly comprising a plurality of terminal pins leading from the individual fixed contacts for connection with the external electric circuits. The movable contacts are carried in slots in the actuator. A third moveable contact is used to energize the starter circuit when the park and neutral positions of the transmission are detected.
