    • A clamping apparatus for works includes a base, a rotary table which is rotatable relative to the base and rotatively moved to one station after another for various processes, and a pallet unit which is arranged in accordance with the processes and holds a work having a reference hole. The pallet unit further includes a pallet which is provided with a plurality of positioning pins each to be inserted into the reference hole and corresponding to a plurality of kinds or types, and onto which the work is placed, a clamping mechanism part which holds the work by a pressing force of a spring, and a switching mechanism part which performs switching between the plurality of positioning pins. Further, the base is equipped with a clamp drive unit for operating the clamping mechanism part, a switch drive unit for operating the switching mechanism part, and a lift unit for moving the clamp drive unit and the switch drive unit toward and away from the pallet unit to engage with or disengage from the pallet unit.

    • A guiding station for preventing the conveyor belt of a belt conveyor from running off sideways from a preset direction and running up against the supporting structure of the conveyor. The guiding station comprises a console secured to a cylindrical element and forming an axis of rotation of the console so that the console is swingable in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the conveyor belt. A pair of guide rollers are supported by the console and are rotatable around their longitudinal axes. The lower strand of the conveyor belt is guided between the guide rollers. A plurality of sensor rollers are rotatably mounted on the guiding station upstream in the running direction of the conveyor belt from the guide rollers and on both sides of the lower strand of the conveyor belt.

    • A curved belt conveyor, to be used mostly above ground and operating with any desired length, can be operated advantageously without belt band rollers so that no tumbling action can take effect upon the belt band. This makes for long service life, as well as quieter, more uniform and safer operation. Drive is accomplished either via a linear motor drive system acting laterally upon the belt band, said system consisting of magnets arranged on the running wheel carriers and the stators that are firmly integrated into the guide ducts, or where, in the guide ducts, for example, a traction chain runs that is connected correspondingly with the running wheel carriers. The side edges of the belt band are grasped via the running wheel carriers and are so connected with them that one can achieve a swing-motion connection. The belt has a predetermined troughing due to the arrangement of the guide ducts, and that troughing can thus also be altered in accordance with the requirements by changing the arrangement of the guide ducts until it forms practically a closed tube.
