摘要： An apparatus for applying fluids such as adhesive, in particular hot melt adhesive, to a substrate movable relative to the apparatus, comprising a main body having a feed passage connectable to a fluid source, an application valve for selectively interrupting or enabling the flow of fluid in the feed passage, and a nozzle arrangement having a distributor passage connectable to the feed passage and at least one nozzle opening communicating with the distributor passage for delivery of the fluid. A body is movable in the distributor passage and has through passages which can be selectively associated with the nozzle opening by means of movement of the body in such a way that fluid is passed out of the distributor passage into the nozzle opening through at least one through passage.

摘要： A slurry distributor can include a feed conduit and a distribution conduit in fluid communication therewith. The feed conduit can include a first and second feed inlets disposed in spaced relationship to each other. The distribution conduit can extend generally along a longitudinal axis and include an entry portion and a distribution outlet in fluid communication therewith. The entry portion is in fluid communication with the first and second feed inlets of the feed conduit. The distribution outlet extends a predetermined distance along a transverse axis. The first and second feed inlets each has an opening with a cross-sectional area. The entry portion of the distribution conduit has an opening with a cross-sectional area which is greater than the sum of the cross-sectional areas of the openings of the first and second feed inlets. The slurry distributor can be placed in fluid communication with a gypsum slurry mixer.

A glue dispensing roller is provided adjacent to a web material traveling path where a web material is conveyed to get past, and operated to touch glue contained in a glue tank, and accordingly, a glue carrying roller surface of the glue dispensing roller is coated with the glue. A notched scraper blade, which faces the glue carrying roller surface of the glue dispensing roller, scrapes the glue stayed on the portion of the glue carrying roller surface, which corresponds with the non-notched area of the scraper edge. Comparatively, the glue stayed on the rest of the glue carrying roller surface is formed a glue layer for subsequently applying to a gluing side of the web material, wherein the rest of the glue carrying roller surface corresponds with notched area of the scraper edge.

摘要： A drywall hopper assembly that contains a double blade that can apply drywall mud to both interior and exterior drywall corners with no blade change. A zigzag blade can contain two grooves, one for interior corners and one for exterior corners. With this blade arrangement, an operator can quickly move from one type of corner to another without using multiple tools, multiple blades or hand application methods to apply mud. The present invention can contain a pliable release port to present mud equally to an interior or an exterior corner. There can be such a port on both the top and bottom of the blade so that mud is smoothly applied as trim moves through the hopper or the hopper is moved along the trim.

The method includes providing a liquid precursor comprising membrane-forming materials to the substrate and applying a pressure differential across the substrate. The pressure differential causes the liquid precursor to travel uniformly through the through-channels, depositing the membrane-forming materials on the walls of the through-channels and forming the membrane on the walls of the through-channels. The apparatus includes a chamber capable of holding the substrate and of maintaining a pressure differential across the plurality of through-channels.
