摘要： There is disclosed a water treatment apparatus for treating stormwater, the water treatment apparatus comprising a volume of filter media, a baffle and an inlet conduit. The baffle extends upwards from the volume of filter media and defines a pre-treatment zone on one side of the baffle and a treatment zone on an opposing side of the baffle. The inlet conduit opens into the pre-treatment zone and is separated from the treatment zone by the baffle. The baffle is configured to regulate a flow of stormwater received via the inlet conduit by controlling the passage of stormwater from the pre-treatment zone to the treatment zone.

摘要： Materials which react with (“scavenge”) sulfur compounds, such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans, are used to limit sulfur-induced corrosion. Filters and protective coatings including these materials, described broadly as polyhexahydrotriazines (PHT) and polyhemiaminals (PHA), are disclosed. Methods of using these materials to prevent corrosion are described. PHT and PHA materials have excellent thermal and mechanical properties for many applications as coatings and filtration media. Specifically, PHT and PHA materials react with sulfur compounds in such a manner as to incorporate sulfur atoms into the polymeric matrix, thus sequestering the sulfur atoms and allowing removal from fluids such as crude oil, natural gas, hydrocarbon combustion exhaust gases, sulfur polluted air and water. A coating PHT or PHA material on a component to be protected similarly reacts with sulfur compounds prior to sulfur being able to penetrate to the component.

摘要： The present invention relates to a filter element for disinfecting, cleaning and purifying household water, by removing pollutants such as heavy metals, bacteria, VOCs, and even radioactive substance. The present filter element comprises activated carbon, ion exchange resins (cationic and anionic), biopolymer and transitional metal oxide. Said biopolymer and transitional metal oxide are both in particle form and said transitional metal oxide particle can be either incorporated into the biopolymer particle or directly incorporated into the present filter element as individual particle. Maximum capacity of the present filter element can reach up to 150 L of household water. Some of the pollutants can be removed by up to 99% by the present filter element. A method of preparing the present filter element is also disclosed herein.

摘要： The group of inventions relates to liquid purifying devices and can be used for purifying drinking water and other liquids for household, medical and other purposes. A filter cartridge is filled with a filtering material and is configured in the form of an open bowl which can be closed with a lid, having side walls and a bottom with at least one outlet opening which is closed with a water-permeable material, wherein the cartridge bottom is designed such as to make it possible to use the water-permeable material which comes to the external edge of the side walls and is made of fibers with a sufficiently small diameter to allow using the filtering material containing powder particles; furthermore, the entire area between external and internal edges of the walls along the perimeter of the bottom is made of a composite based on a polymer water-permeable material. The method of producing the filtering cartridge involves placing a blank in at least a split mould, cutting it to the exact shape of a piece, filling a shaping cavity of the mould with a molted polymer material and extracting the product from the mould, wherein the cavity of the mould is filled with the molted polymer material upon placing the blank therein and the blank is cut up along a cutting zone which is formed in the purpose-made region of the mould. The filtering cartridge is used in a device for purifying liquid, substantially drinking water.
