摘要： The present invention is an ice-skate blade formed to increase the balance of a skater upon an ice-skate blade. The blade may incorporate indentations in one or more both of the following position: a portion of the front section of the skate blade; and a portion of the rear section of the skate blade. Such indentations may be a series of serrated cuts or otherwise formed notches in the lower blade edge. The blade may be formed in a variety of sizes, and may be connectable to a variety of skate boots. A skater utilizing the blade of the present invention will be assisted with regaining balance upon the blade upon experiencing unbalance, and assisted with maintaining balance upon the skate blade. The blade functions in a manner that allows a skater to learn and develop skating skills.

摘要： A sports device with runners, in particular an ice skate, includes an exchangeable adapter with which the composite sliding blade is equipped. The running sole has a profiled slide strip made of a resilient material and side faces are provided with a negative cutting angle. The adapter is connected releasably to the holder of the sports device. The contour profile, namely the curvature of the sliding face of the profiled slide strip, is defined by the geometry of the exchangeable adapter. The sliding blade is clipped onto the adapter using tongues provided on the free end of the sliding blade and the locking lugs or locking slits provided on the adapter. The sliding blade has a perforation, such that the lower part of the sliding blade can be torn off without tools when changing the sliding blade, and a new sliding blade can be clipped on.

The center section of the contoured ice skate blade has a large radius, creating a flatter blade with a greater length of the blade in contact with the ice. At the toe-end and heel-end of the contoured ice skate blade, the radius of the blade is smaller, resulting in a more curved blade, and less length of the ice-contacting surface of the blade in physical contact with the ice. Because the segments of smaller radius are thicker, a greater cross-sectional area of the ice-contacting surface of the blade is in contact with the ice at the toe-end and heel-end of the blade.

摘要： The invention provides ice skates and methods of making ice skates which have a body of a synthetic plastic material and a steel blade. The body includes an upper portion for attachment to the sole of a suitable boot and the blade has an upper portion enclosed in the body and a lower portion projecting from the body. The blade and body combine to define a localized and discrete anchor structure which locks the blade and body to one another, and the blade has a non-interfering upper surface. This surface allows the body to move freely other than at the anchor structure as the body moves longitudinally of the blade thereby limiting stress build-up in the body caused by shrinking. Mechanical fastening devices are used after shrinking to further hold the blade in the body.
