摘要： A collapsible tennis table having first and second table portions and a lower pair of parallel frame members having wheels or casters thereon. The parallel members are connected together by a elongated member, the elongated member being connected to the parallel frame members by wing nuts and bolts. Also mounted to the outside edge of both frame members are bracket members having shortened tubular members extending therefrom at a predetermined angle. Each table portion has a pair of leg extensions attached to the bottom surface thereof and a pair of brackets supporting a U-shaped tubular member. A pair of clip members are fastened to the bottom surface of each table portion and the leg portions of the U-shaped tubular member are positioned therein. In order to assemble the collapsible table of the present invention, the ends of the U-shaped tubular members are positioned in their corresponding shortened tubular members extending from the frame member brackets. The bracket members are configured such that when the table portions are pulled down to its unfolded position, the U-shaped tubular member is able to extend only to a predetermined angular position. Further movement of the table portions towards the opened position causes the legs of the U-shaped member to be removed from the clip members allowing the table to be fully extended to its opened position. The tennis net is attached to a vertical portion of a U-shaped bracket, the recessed portion of which is adapted to engage the edges of the first and second table portions. When it is desired to collapse the tennis table, the vertical bracket portion is pivoted in a manner where the net lies substantially flat adjacent to the surface of the one of the table portions, and the U-shaped bracket is moved to either side of the facing edges of the first and second table portions, enabling the table portions to be folded such that each table portion extends at an angle to the vertical.

The assembly comprises a mounting base constructed and arranged to be slipped over an edge of the table. The assembly also includes a first support member disposed on the mounting base and a second support member having an upper portion and a lower portion pivotally disposed on the first support member such that when the net mounting assembly is disposed on the table, the upper portion is disposed above a plane of the table and the lower portion is disposed below the plane of the table. 摘要： An outdoor overhead arch forms a unique support for an appliance, such as a batting aid having a tethered ball. The arch is formed as two vertical posts, two slanted posts, and an upper horizontal post. The posts are connected to one another by elbow sections. The vertical posts are supported in ground mounted sleeves so that they may be manually lifted from the ground. The sleeves receive the vertical posts to a sufficient depth of penetration to provide rigid vertical support. Illustratively, should the tether of the batting aid become wound around the horizontal post to which it is attached, it is easily reached when the appliance is manually lowered. The appliance is readily removed from the sleeve for seasonal storage, and is readily reerected. The sleeve has a cap for safety and to prevent clogging when not in use. The cap may be formed to have a shallow recess, so that the sleeve serves as a golf hole. A variation shows the arch spanning a swimming pool.

摘要： A leg for an outdoors appliance, such as a batting aid having a tethered ball, a basketball hoop assembly, a tennis net, or a table. The leg has upper and lower sections connected by a coil spring. A sleeve driven into the ground receives the leg to a sufficient depth of penetration that the spring is also received within the sleeve. The appliance is thus rigidly supported in the sleeve. The leg, or legs in the case of appliances requiring more than one leg, is manually withdrawn from the sleeve to expose the spring. The spring provides a flexible joint, and the appliance can be inclined toward the ground when the spring has been moved out of the sleeve. This enables service to the item atop the leg or legs. Illustratively, should the tether of the batting aid become wound around the horizontal post to which it is attached, it is easily reached when the appliance is manually inclined. The appliance is readily removed from the sleeve for seasonal storage, and is readily reerected. The sleeve has a cap for safety and to prevent clogging when not in use. The apparatus comprises a flexible, quadrilateral practice net, first and second, elongate, stiff side members removably disposed along opposite side edge regions of the practice net, and net attachers associated with the side members for detachably attaching the members, and thus the practice net, to an upper edge of a volleyball net with the auxiliary net apparatus supported solely by the volleyball net, and with the upper edge of the practice net located at a distance about equal to the top-to-bottom height of the volleyball net above the upper edge of the volleyball net and with the lower edge of the practice net at or below the bottom edge of the volleyball net. The width of the practice net is preferably less than the stretched width of a conventional volleyball net and its height is about twice the top-to-bottom height of the volleyball net. The apparatus further includes flexible strips or ties for releasably attaching lower regions of the practice net to the lower edge regions of the volleyball net. The practice net has an elastic cord attached along its lower edge to substantially reduce the effective length of the lower edge so as to retain a spiked volleyball between the practice net and the volleyball net to which the practice net is attached.

The frame includes a top member and two side members, and one end of each of the two side members is attached to the top of the game net such that a target area at which the moving ball can be directed is defined by the frame and the top of the game net. The impeding net is attached at least to the top member of the frame, spans substantially all of the target area, and extends from the top member to below the top of the game net. The impeding net substantially impedes the movement of the ball when the moving ball passes through the target area. The stabilizing structure stabilizes the frame relative to the game net by extending from the frame to a surface below the game net. The device is easily transported when not attached to the game net because the frame and the stabilizing structure are collapsible.

摘要： A portable volleyball net assembly characterized by a vertically-adjustable net which is continuously supported along the edges by net cylinders or rods engaging a pair of net support poles stabilized vertically by tensioning cords. In a first embodiment the assembly includes an elongated, rectangular net, each vertical edge of which is secured along the entire length by means of a binder or sleeve to a tubular net cylinder which slidably receives a net support pole assembled from three tubular support members attached by connecting joints. The net cylinders and net are vertically supported by friction or by adjusting pins which are extended through pin openings provided in each net support pole. A tensioning cord vertically stabilizes each net support pole and is fastened at one end to a stake in the ground, while the other end loops through a clevis mounted on the top of the net support pole. In a second embodiment each net cylinder is secured to a pair of spaced support rings or cylinders which slidably receive the upper end of a corresponding net support pole. The net can be vertically adjustably supported either by friction or by using the adjusting pins as in the previous embodiment or by using a loop-pile stay which wraps around the net support pole and each corresponding net cylinder.
