摘要： A jewelry-forming component composing a body member having a first magnetized portion and a female element associated therewith for magnetically attracting and receiving a male element of another jewelry-forming component. The first magnetized portion of the body member provides a minimum magnetic strength that is sufficient to retain the male element within the female element and a maximum magnetic strength that can be overcome by a person's hand strength to separate the male and female elements. The female element defines a cavity having a depth sufficient to receive the male element at different positions therein, and this allows relative movement of the male and female elements to assist in providing the self-sizing nature of the article. The body member also includes a further element that is magnetically responsive for magnetically coupling with another jewelry-forming component, such that a plurality of such components can be magnetically coupled to form an article of jewelry.

The plastic top shell comprises a molded body having a top surface and a bottom surface with end tabs protruding downwardly therefrom. The bottom surface has coplanar end portions adjacent to the ends tabs, with the top and bottom surfaces defining a thickness therebetween which is greater than the thickness of the end tabs. The body is configured and dimensioned to overlie the top wall of the top link, with the end tabs being bendable around the open ends of the top link to thereby firmly seat the coplanar end portions of the molded body's surface against the top link wall.

摘要： A connector is disclosed for joining two sections of an expansible watchband. The watchband sections have adjacent ends defined by endmost top and bottom links interconnected by pairs of mutually spaced staples. The connector comprises a unitary element having first and second sets of locking ears projecting laterally in opposite directions from opposite sides thereof. The connector has an initial laterally contracted configuration which accommodates its insertion between the endmost top and bottom links of the adjacent ends of the watchband sections, with the first and second sets of locking ears having passed between and beyond the respective pairs of staples interconnecting the endmost top and bottom links. The thus inserted connector is permanently deformable into a laterally expanded configuration which causes its locking ears to mechanically interengage with the staples to thereby effect a connection between the watchband sections.

摘要： A connector for connecting an end of a watchband to a watchcase, the watchcase having a pair of a spaced lugs defining a gap bridged by a spring bar extending therebetween. The connector has a base member fixed at a rear end to the end of the watch band and forward end pivotally connected to the spring bar. A shell overlies the base number. A forward end of the shell extends beyond the forward end of the base member to fill the gap between the lugs on the watchcase. Lugs depend from a flange at the rear end of the shell to straddle the base member. The lugs have first tabs which connect the shell to the base member for pivotal movement about the axis of the spring bar, and second tabs which coact with the watchcase to resist pivotal movement of the shell about the same axis.

摘要： An expansible linkage for use as a watchband, bracelet or similar article having two rows of overlapping staggered links, connecting members displaceably connecting the links of the inner row to the links of the outer row and springs in the inner row for urging the links from their expanded to their contracted positions. The springs are located only in the links of the inner row of links. Each of the links of the outer row has an outer wall, a narrower inner wall substantially parallel to the outer wall, a pair of substantially parallel first side walls connected to the opposite sides of the outer wall and a pair of second side walls which converge inwardly from the inner sides of the first side walls to lateral sides of the inner wall. In one embodiment, the outer wall of each of the links of the outer row of links has an opening formed at one side thereof intermediate its ends and an extension at the opposite side thereof which is of substantially the same size as said opening so that when the linkage is in contracted position the extension is positioned in the opening of the outer wall of the adjacent link. In this embodiment, each of one of the first side walls of each of the links of the outer row of links includes an opening formed therein which communicates with the opening in the outer wall of the link.
