摘要： An exercise system is provided in which multiple exercise routines may be conducted with a single system. The exercise system may be used for skiing exercises, rowing exercises, and for weight training/resistance exercises. The exercise system may also be stored in a compact position and may by integrated with articles of furniture for space saving benefits. In one embodiment, resistance to motion is provided by one or more tension transmission members and may be selectively adjusted by controlling the configuration of the tension transmission member relative to a torsion spring. Use of intermediate devices between the spring and the tension transmission member are described that provide a non-linear relationship between force and displacement. In another embodiment, the tension transmission member may be configured in different positions by adjusting the position of movable pulleys, thereby allowing the device to be used for a number of different exercise routines.

摘要： A portable computer includes a housing and a keyboard unit mounted on the housing. A display unit is mounted on the housing to be movable between a closed position wherein the keyboard unit is covered by the display unit and a desired opened position wherein the keyboard is exposed. A latch mechanism for locking the display unit in the closed position is provided at the display unit. The mechanism includes a pair of latch hooks rockable between a latch position wherein each hook engages a latch hole of the housing and a release position wherein each hook is disengaged form the housing, and an interlocking member, movable together with the latch hooks. A sliding member is slidably attached to each latch hook so as to be movable between a restricted position, wherein the sliding member is situated in the latch hole to restrict disengagement of the hook, and a retracted position, wherein the sliding member is retracted from the latch hole. When an operator begins to move the latch hooks toward the release position, the interlocking member slides the sliding members to the retracted position, allowing the latch hooks to continue on toward the release position. When a combination lock attached to the display unit is engaged, movement of the interlocking member is restricted by the lock and the hooks are locked in the latch position.

摘要： A theft-prevention device for use with a tractor-trailer combination wherein the trailer has a downwardly extending pin on the bottom thereof adapted to fit an engaging plate on the tractor. The device includes a cover for the pin to prevent the tractor plate from engaging the pin. A threaded studbolt is disposed entirely within the cover with one end of the bolt selectively locking the cover onto the pin. The other end of the studbolt is exposed in an opening which extends into the cover with the opening providing access to the studbolt for rotating the same into locking engagement with the pin. A lock plug assembly is disposed at the outer end of the opening for selectively closing the opening to prevent access to the studbolt.
