    • Apparatus comprises a receiver receiving wireless transmission of a real radio system from at least one base station of a radio system as a function of reception direction. The transmission comprises predetermined data. The apparatus comprises also a processing unit that forms taps of a delay profile on the basis of comparison between the data that is received and corresponding predetermined data. The processing unit estimates direction for the taps of the delay profile on the basis of a reception direction of the transmission, and forms radio channel data by associating the taps of the delay profile with the estimated direction. The radio channel data is for a radio channel model of a MIMO emulation in an OTA chamber having a plurality of antennas around a test zone where a device-under-test may be placed.

    • The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for frequency selective channel modeling. One exemplary system includes a network equipment test device including at least one processor. The network equipment test device includes the UE emulator implemented by the at least one processor and configured to emulate a plurality of UEs that attach to and communicate with a device under test. The system further includes a frequency selective channel modeler configured to receive resource scheduling information for the UEs from the device under test, to determine channel performance categories for the UEs using the resource scheduling information and to determine values for channel quality parameters using the channel performance categories assigned to the resource blocks, which represent selected frequencies in the total channel bandwidth. The emulated UEs communicate the channel quality parameters to the device under test based on the frequency allocated for a given UE in the channel bandwidth.

    • A multipath channel emulation system and method are disclosed. In some aspects, the system and method allow for analog emulation of a multipath MIMO wireless channel. Such multipath channel emulation system is used for testing the ability of wireless communication devices to operate in an airlink channel characterized by multipath. In a particular aspect, an impedance mismatch or discontinuity is provided in an open-ended coaxial cable so as to cause multiple back and forth reflections between an impedance discontinuity and an open coaxial cable stub and, optionally, including a delay element to emulate a multi-cluster multipath environment. A plurality of such stub subsystems may be combined as sub-paths in a multipath channel emulator.

    • A wireless electronic device may serve as a device under test in a test system. The test system may include an array of over-the-air antennas that can be used in performing over-the-air wireless tests on the device under test (DUT). A channel model may be used in modeling a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channel between a multi-antenna wireless base station and a multi-antenna DUT. The test system may be configured to perform over-the-air tests that emulate the channel model. A design and analysis tool may be used to identify an optimum over-the-air test system setup. The tool may be used in converting a geometric model to a stochastic model for performing conducted tests. The tool may be used in converting a stochastic model to a geometric model and then further convert the geometric model to an over-the-air emulated stochastic model. The over-the-air emulated stochastic model may be used in performing conducted tests.

    • A method for testing data packet reception characteristics, such as sensitivity and throughput, of a data packet signal transceiver. By monitoring responsive data packet signals returning from a device under test (DUT), it can be determined whether and when the DUT has successfully received valid data packets, received faulty data packets, received valid data packets in a faulty manner, or not received valid data packets.
