摘要： A metallic contact for insertion into a modular telecommunications plug includes a generally planar body defining a top end, a bottom end, a front end, a rear end, and a length extending from the front end to the rear end. The bottom end is at least partially defined by a blade for piercing an insulation of a wire positioned within the plug. At least a portion of the top end is configured to electrically contact a conductor of a jack that receives the plug. The top end is defined at least in part by a first engagement surface that is separated from a second engagement surface by a notch. An uppermost portion of the first engagement surface defines a first push surface that is generally at the same height as a second push surface defined by an uppermost portion of the second engagement surface. The notch is defined by a front vertical wall spaced from a rear vertical wall, wherein the front vertical wall is positioned at a distance of at least half the length of the contact from the front end of the contact.

Selected embodiments include a bezel member having a projection positioned between each adjacent pair of outlets to help reduce crosstalk. A releasable latch mechanism may be included that is configured to selectively latch and unlatch the cassette to a patch panel. Embodiments configured for use with fiber optic cables may include a movable connector member. A cable connector may be mounted to the movable connector member to move therewith as a unit. Moving the movable connector member determines an angle of the cable connector relative to the panel. Angles may be selected to reduce stress on a cable connected to the cable connector. In particular, it may be desirable to position the cable connector such that it is orthogonal to the panel.

A system for achieving capacitive coupling between contactless pads is described. The techniques include aligning and retaining the plug and receptacle in close proximity to one another. The techniques include cancelling crosstalk in the system based on the symmetry and orientation of differential pairs comprising signal pads. The techniques include enabling a high-bandwidth proximity transmission by filtering the transmission using a silicon buffer component.

A receptor insulator is provided concavely with a placement space. A metal cover may be forced to rotate pivotally until fastening with the receptor insulator, thereby movement of the RF plate cable or the cable end connector in the placement space of the receptor insulator is restricted. As such, the movement of the RF plate cable or the cable end connector may be restricted, such that it is not easy to leave the placement space of the receptor insulator due to external force impact by fastening the metal cover and the receptor insulator even though height of the flip-cover receptor connector is very small.

The lock nib is configured to engage a primary lock tab of a second connector when the first and second connectors are in a fully mated position and the lock arm is in a resting position. The lock nib is configured to disengage the primary lock tab and engage a secondary lock tab of the second connector when the lock arm is moved from a resting to an activated position and the first and second connectors are moved to a partially mated position while the lock arm is in the activated position. The connector system generates an audible or tactile click only when the first connector is fully mated with the second connector. The connectors can be disconnected with bare hands, no tools are required.
