    • A high-pressure gas cylinder valve capable of controlling the flow of gas at operating pressures up to 3000 psig has a movable diaphragm mounted on the valve body to form part of a flow passage through the valve. The diaphragm is movable into and out of sealing engagement with a valve seat surface presented by a threaded polymer valve seat which is screwed into a threaded aperture of the valve body about the flow passage. The polymer valve seat has a larger diameter at one end which presents the valve seat surface and is secured in the threaded aperture by self-locking threads on the valve body. A central opening in the seat is hex shaped so that the seat can be screwed into the valve body.

    • The diaphragm valve uses a metal dish-type diaphragm set to control the inflow and outflow of fluid. The metal dish-type diaphragm set is above an air flow channel to control the stem above the metal dish-type diaphragm set, and the air will be blocked by pressing the metal dish-type diaphragm to make it fit the metal valve base in the air flow channel; this non-metal valve base is fixed in the air flow channel by a fixed shrunk ring with a taper cross section, and the in-between metal diaphragm in the metal dish-type diaphragm set is annular in the center to reduce the metallic friction between metal diaphragms, to increase application times and to lower the leakage rate of the diaphragm valve.

    • A rotary actuator for a valve includes a cam mechanism for transmitting opening force to a movable valve member to move the valve member off a valve seat, against the bias of a closing spring. The cam mechanism does not transmit spring force to the valve member when the valve member is being moved to the closed position or is in the closed position. Also, the parts of the cam mechanism have a large surface area of contact when the valve is in the open position, to minimize unit loading of the cam surfaces. The movable cam is movable axially relative to the actuator handle. The movable valve member is blocked from rotation relative to the valve body. The cam mechanism does not transmit spring force to the movable valve member when the valve member is in the closed position.

    • A multistage switching valve includes a valve stem which is adapted to open or close a fluid passage, a biasing biasing means for biasing the valve stem in a direction to close the fluid passage, a plurality of pistons which are relatively slidably fitted onto the valve stem at different axial positions to provide different flow rates, a plurality of stops which are provided on the valve stem to move the valve stem in a valve opening direction opposite to the direction of the movement of the valve stem caused by the biasing biasing means, together with the pistons when the pistons are moved in the valve opening direction, a valve opening means for exerting a pilot pressure in the valve opening direction on each piston, and a flow rate controller for individually restricting the axial displacements of the pistons in the valve opening direction. A two-stage switching valve and a toggle type two-stage switching valve are also disclosed.
