摘要： Methods and systems for controlling a passive driver impairment detection system in a vehicle are provided. The method and system detect states of vehicle component operating systems and/or vehicle occupant monitoring systems and control activation and deactivation of the impairment detection system in response. The methods and systems enable a proactive transition from an inactive state to an active state by detecting the presence of an individual within or approaching the vehicle or an intent of the individual to approach the vehicle in order to overcome a significant functional latency in the impairment detection system. The methods and system further enable a transition from the active state to the inactive state by using multiple systems to corroborate the absence of the individual within or approaching the vehicle and the lack of intent of the individual to approach the vehicle.

摘要： A method for controlling an SSC-SCC system for increasing a SSC distance using SCC is provided. The method includes determining whether a vehicle in operation satisfies a preset SSC entry condition and entering the SSC mode or maintaining the SSC entry state when the vehicle satisfies the preset SSC entry condition. A distance from a preceding vehicle is measured after the entering of the SSC mode or the maintaining of the SSC entry state. Additionally, the method includes determining whether the measured distance is equal to or less than a preset reference distance and performing SCC braking in response to determining that the measured distance is equal to or less than the preset reference distance.

摘要： A method and start-stop device for initiating an automatic shutdown of an engine, in particular a combustion engine, in a motor vehicle are provided, wherein an automatic shutdown of the engine is initiated if a condition triggering a stop has been met and no shutdown preventer has been met. A first condition triggering a stop is determined depending on a delay request, when with the triggered delay request a braking value is requested that exceeds a predetermined first shutdown braking threshold without exceeding a predetermined second shutdown braking threshold that is greater than the predetermined first shutdown braking threshold. A second condition triggering a stop is determined depending on a delay request, if with the triggered delay request a braking value is requested that exceeds the predetermined second shutdown braking threshold.

An engine of the vehicle is auto stopped in response to the auto stop commands and auto started in response to the auto start commands. The stop/start system can prevent an auto stop of the engine based on a predicted stop duration for a predicted stop location for the vehicle such that the engine remains running when the predicted stop duration is less than a threshold duration and the vehicle is stopped in a vicinity of the predicted stop location.

The stop start system may also be programmed to prevent an auto start of the engine in response to the engine being stopped, and further in response to a detected proximity to an emergency vehicle where the emergency vehicle is traveling in cross traffic relative to the stop/start vehicle.
