摘要： A golfing aid device capable of displaying and setting points-of-interest includes a processor, a screen, an input mechanism, a memory, a GPS module and a software program stored in the memory. The software program includes a points-of-interest setting interface and a points-of-interest displaying interface. A characteristic of the points-of-interest displaying interface are left-side, central and right-side displaying areas. When a point-of-interest with a left-side/right-side attribute is displayed, it is displayed in the left-side/right-side displaying area. On the other hand, a point-of-interest without a left-side/right-side attribute is displayed in the central displaying area. Therefore, the user can easily read the information displayed on the points-of-interest displaying interface.

摘要： A personal golfing assistant system is comprised of software running on a PDA attached directly or remotely to a GPS receiver that enables the user to survey and/or electronically capture geophysical golf data. A handheld device connected to or integrated with a GPS receiver can instead be used. Software allows a golfer to use a handheld PDA/GPS unit during the course of play to mark a ball location automatically and/or determine the distance to golf course targets and/or objects, and to analyze golf related data and generate statistics. The system can send a set of parameters tailored for a specific course to a real time tunable GPS to adjust for optimal performance and can adjust measurements to compensate for environmental condition changes. The system provides an improved graphical method for measuring and displaying distances between a golfer and a golf course object, for displaying multiple measured distances along a line of sight between a golfer and a golf object or target, and for orienting a target or object on a display to coincide with a user's line of sight. There is also provided a method for collecting and uploading golf course geographic information services (GIS) data to an internet accessible server, processing the uploaded data, distributing data upon an authorized user request, and downloading the requested data to an electronic device.

A terminal receives an input of golf course information and customer information obtained based on position information from a GPS satellite, a GPS pseudo satellite, and an MTSAT (Multi-functional Transport Satellite) and to transfer the golf course information and customer information to the server. A server updates golf curse and customer information previously stored in the server with the latest information. The server transfers the updated golf course and customer information to the terminal. The terminal displays the golf course and customer information that have been transmitted from the server. The server registers, corrects, and deletes contents of the customer information. The terminal calculates, on the golf course, the current position based on the position information to display golf course information related to the calculated current position. The terminal sets, on the golf course, a target position on its screen that displays the current position based on the position information to calculate and display the distance between the current position and target position. Then, the terminal transfers, to the server, the golf course and customer information stored in the terminal to update the golf course and customer information in the server.
