摘要： The present invention provides a body lift-assist walker device for gait training is provided by the invention. The patient wears a pressurized body suit over all or a portion of his lower body, and the suit is attached to the walker device. A positive pressure or vacuum condition is applied to the interior of the suit, so that the differential pressure condition across the suit offloads a portion of the patient's body weight to the ground through the supportive walker device to make it easier for him to walk or run. The walker device also includes a lift-assisted body weight support device operated by a constant force mechanism like a pneumatic air cylinder that can lift the patient from a sitting position to a standing position with minimal physical effort. The device provides a portable and convenient system for persons undergoing physical therapy for treatment of gait or balance problems following an injury, stroke, or neurological disorder, or for use by elderly or disabled persons who have encounter difficulties in the sit-to-stand movement or walking.

摘要： A system and methodology for treatment of circulation related conditions in hooved animals such as laminitis in horses. The methodology employs a garment wrap that is releasably secured to the animal's leg. The wrap includes several inflatable chambers, one of which, the most distal one, engages the frog and bulbar sections of the horses hoof. The methodology calls for the pressuring of the inflatable chambers in accordance with a sequence that prevents backflow from a more proximal point on the animal's leg to a more distal point on the leg. A boot arrangement including an inner sole pad are also utilized both during the therapy procedure and afterwards. The inner sole pad can provide related medications and can be used in an iontophoresis procedure.

The securing assembly may be a fused strap(s) oriented parallel to the bottom edge and in close proximity to the open top so that the fused strap may be tied around the appendage. The plastic bag comprises a medicating boot with at least one medicating solution that is able to be suitably contained within the flexible container. Appendages may be inserted into the flexible container which may include a foot, a hoof, or a paw. The strap is secured around the appendage thereby defining a confined inner volume wherein the medicating fluid is able to contact the appendage creating a medicating action. The medicating boot is portable such that a user can move about while medicating the appendage.

A two-phase mixture is provided with dissolved gas as a suspension of microbubbles. Methods for making, maintaining, and using the two-phase mixture are provided. Gas molecules may be introduced into a liquid at high velocity under elevated pressure to form a supersaturated solution that retains the gas, preferably oxygen, in solution when exposed to ambient conditions.

摘要： An instrument, article and method are provided for minimizing pain during administration by injection of a liquid, such as, an anesthetic. The instrument has a forward end. A lightpipe mounted freely for vibration projects out of the forward end. The article, a single use tip, is composed of a tip sleeve removably mounted on the forward end of the instrument and a tip member removably mounted on the projecting lightpipe to vibrate a preselected injection site on a human or animal. The tip sleeve and tip member are covered by an elastic overmold that enables the tip member to vibrate freely with respect to the tip sleeve and light from the lightpipe to illuminate the injection site. A vibration unit mounted in the instrument is coupled to the lightpipe. The method is carried out by imparting vibrations and illumination via the lightpipe to the tip member.
