    • A cooking device may include a refractory oven and a housing. The refractory oven may define a cooking chamber that may be configured to receive thermal energy from an external heat source. The refractory oven may further define an opening configured to allow foodstuffs to be introduced into the cooking chamber. The refractory oven may be further configured to substantially surround the foodstuffs while the foodstuffs are positioned inside the cooking chamber. The housing may at least partially surround the refractory oven. The housing and the refractory oven may define a heated volume between an external surface of the refractory oven and an internal surface of the housing. The heated volume may be configured to receive thermal energy from the external heat source and to reduce transfer of thermal energy from the cooking chamber through refractory oven.

    • The outdoor multifunction cooking set is composed of an oven mounted pivoting on a barbecue by means of a pivoting articulation. The barbecue includes an ashpit, a hearth and a cooking surface, while the oven includes a cooking bottom composed of refractory stones, and a door on the front face. The chamber of the oven has a double wall that is open at the bottom and is connected to a chimney mounted on the upper part of the oven and in communication with the hearth of the barbecue.This cooking assembly includes at least one temperature maintenance chamber to be mounted, by means of one of its sides, on one hot side of the barbecue. This chamber incorporates a thermometer and an air outlet to be able to allow the hot air contained in it to escape.

    • A barbecue device includes a stone slab, a frame made of metal, and at least one tubular leg supporting the metal and made of metal. The frame includes a supporting plate for supporting the stone slab. The supporting plate includes at least one through-hole. The at least one tubular leg is in communication with the at least one through-hole and receives water. When in use, cracking of the stone slab is avoided due to provision of the water in the at least one tubular leg. Further, a gap exists between the supporting plate and the stone slab provides indirect heating for the stone slab, further preventing cracking of the stone slab.

    • A portable charbroiler (20) is shown that includes a bottom member (24) and sidewalls (26,26 and 28,28) of thermally insulating ceramic material that form an enclosure. Air inlet slots (30) are located along the bottom edges of the sidewalls, and an outlet port is provided at the upper end of the sidewalls. A grate (52) divides the enclosure into upper and lower chambers (54U and 54L), respectively. Lump carbonaceous fuel (58) is stacked on the grate (52), which stack of fuel is supported at all sides by the enclosure sidewalls (26,26 and 28,28). During combustion, feedback of heat to the fuel from the insulating enclosure bottom member and sidewalls provides for rapid high temperature combustion of the fuel in the 1800.degree. F. to 2200.degree. F. range and substantially smokeless combustion of CO gas and fat vapor. At such high temperatures, a large amount of radiant energy is emitted (FIG. 6 ) for rapid charbroiling of food (38) on grille (36) at the enclosure outlet. The charbroiler is self-cleaning at such high-temperature operation. For standby operation, a cover (48) of thermally insulating ceramic material is placed on the enclosure and is supported a short distance above the enclosure outlet on grille (36). The fuel (58) may be located in a net bag (70) made of ceramic fiber. The bag with coals and ashes is readily removed from the enclosure when finished charbroiling.
