    • A technique for wireless network monitoring involves scanning channels using clients instead of access points. An example of a method according to the technique may include, for example, receiving from a wireless access point a command to perform a channel scanning function, listening on a channel associated with the channel scanning function, and sending RF data found on the channel to the wireless access point. Another example of a method according to the technique may include, for example, scanning a first channel, switching from the first channel to a second channel, sending data on the second channel to an access point, switching from the second channel to the first channel, and resuming scanning on the first channel. A system according to the technique may include one or more scanning clients, proxy clients, multi-channel clients, or other clients that are capable of scanning channels in lieu of an access point.

    • The present disclosure describes apparatuses and methods for separating and installing optical fibers into furcation tubing. A fiber optic furcation assembly can include a fan-out structure. The fan out structure can include a conduit, and the conduit can extend from a first face of the fan-out structure to an opposing second face of the fan-out structure. The fiber optic furcation assembly can also include a furcation tube. The furcation tube can be positioned within the conduit, and the furcation tube can extend to a terminal end beyond the second face of the fan-out structure. The fiber optic furcation assembly can also include a fiber pull. The fiber pull can be positioned within the furcation tube, and the fiber pull can protrude in a first portion beyond the first face of the fan-out structure and the fiber pull can protrude in a second portion beyond the terminal end of the furcation tube, and the fiber optic furcation assembly can also include an attachment structure. The attachment structure can be fixed to the first portion of the fiber pull, and the attachment structure can receive and couple with an optical fiber. The fiber pull can include a diameter and the attachment structure can include a diameter. The diameter of the fiber pull and the diameter of the attachment structure can be less than a diameter of the furcation tube.

    • A cable having low values for resistance, inductance, and capacitance. The cable includes a plurality of conductors for each signal or leg, which may be configured as a braid of three subsets of braids of bonded pairs of insulated conductors. The bonded pairs may be twisted or untwisted, in close proximity such that inductance is reduced via magnetic field cancellation. Each leg may be separate and parallel, rather than interwoven or braided together, increasing the distance between the two signals and reducing capacitance. The legs may be positioned close to each other, such that their magnetic fields cancel to further reduce inductance.

A balanced audio cable includes a radially symmetric filler comprising a plurality of arms forming a corresponding plurality of channels. The cable also includes a plurality of conductors, each approximately centered within a corresponding channel. The cable further includes a plurality of non-conductive threads, each spirally wrapped around a conductor of the plurality of conductors. In some implementations, the cable also includes a jacket surrounding the filler, conductors, and threads.
