    • An electromagnetic shielding structure includes a sheath wire having a conductive wire and an insulative sheath covering the conductive wire; a terminal fitting clamping the conductive wire exposed from the insulative sheath, and the terminal fitting passing through a conductive mounting member connected to ground; a molding member molded to cover the exposed conductive wire and the terminal fitting, and having a first recess and a second recess; a conductive braid having a tubular shape, and covering the sheath wire and the molding member for absorbing an electromagnetic wave generated from the conductive wire; a first sealing portion provided in the first recess so as to adhere the molding member and the insulative sheath for securing a waterproof performance; a second sealing portion provided in the second recess so as to adhere the molding member and the terminal fitting for securing an oil proof and waterproof performance; and a conductive shell covering the molding member so that the conductive braid is electrically connected to the conductive mounting member. The first recess is formed on a first end portion of the molding member. The first end portion contacts the sheath wire. The second recess is formed on a second end portion of the molding member. The second end portion contacts the terminal fitting.

    • A lever having pivotal movement-purpose cam grooves is pivotally mounted on one connector. Engagement pins for the pivotal movement-purpose cam grooves are formed on the other connector.     • A connector having an engagement detecting device, comprises: a first connector housing for housing a plurality of first connector terminals; a second connector housing for housing a plurality of second connector terminals mated with the first connector terminals, and engaged with the first connector housing; a slider inserted into the first connector housing in two stages of a half engagement position and a full engagement position; and a short-circuit spring disposed within the first connector housing, for shorting electrically two adjacent mated connector terminals when the slider is inserted into the first connector housing to the half engagement position, but disconnecting electrically the same two adjacent mated connector terminals when the second connector housing is engaged with the first connector housing and thereafter the slider is further inserted into the first connector housing to the full engagement position. The short-circuit spring can apply a reaction force to the slider when the slider is further inserted to the full engagement position, thus providing a stable connector engagement detecting device while decreasing the number of parts.

    • A terminal-protecting-board type connector comprises: a first connector housing into which male terminals are inserted; a terminal protecting board set in the first connector housing; a second connector housing in which female terminals are inserted; and an engaging simple bolt and tightening nut for engaging the first and second connector housings to each other. The terminal protecting board includes a flat plate having terminal supporting holes and extraction holes in correspondence to the terminal accommodating holes of the first connector housing, a pair of locking pieces formed on the rear surface of the flat plate, and a pair of hook pieces formed on the front surface of the flat plate. The first connector housing has a pair of temporary locking ears on the inner surfaces to temporarily lock the terminal protecting board and a pair of locking holes with which the locking pieces of the terminal protecting board are engaged. With this connector, it can be readily detected whether or not the end portions of the male terminals are deformed when inserted into the connector housing, the end portions of the main terminals are positively protected until the engagement of the connector housings has been achieved, and the male terminals can be extracted without removal of the terminal protecting board.

    • A pressure contact terminal (50) comprises: a main body (60) having an elongate main base plate (61), a pair of two front side plates (62) and a pair of two middle side plates (64) both formed by bending both sides of the main base plate; and a spring member (70) having a spring base plate (71), a spring piece (72) formed by turning down a front end of the spring base plate, and at least one pressure contact plate (74) formed by bending a rear end of the spring base plate at a right angle so as to be connected to wire conductor. After the spring member has been assembled with the main body, the two front side plates (62) being further bent into a box shape to form a male terminal pressure contact portion in cooperation with the spring piece (72) of the spring member (70). Since the spring piece (72) and the pressure contact plate (74) are formed integral with each other by the single spring member (70 ) of high elasticity, a male terminal can be pressure-connected to the wire conductor via only the single spring member (70), so that the electric contact reliability can be improved. Further, the spring member (70) can be manufactured simply through only bending process.
