    • A method and an apparatus for reducing the number of instruction transactions in a microprocessor are disclosed. As a method, the number of issued instructions carried by an issued instruction bus in a computer system are reduced by determining if an instruction fetched by a fetch unit matches a cached instruction tag. When the fetched instruction matches the cached instruction tag, an opcode and an associated instruction corresponding to the cached instruction tag are directly injected to an appropriate function unit. The apparatus includes a plurality of tag PC cache memory devices used to store tag PC entries associated with target instructions injected directly to corresponding function units included microprocessors and the like. The injection reduces the number of instructions fetched from the program memory as well as the number of issued instructions carried by an issued instruction bus.

    • A simple architecture to implement a mechanism for performing data references to storage in parallel with instruction execution. The architecture is particularly suited to reduced instruction-set computers (RISCs) and employs a channel address register to store the main memory load or store address, a channel data register which temporarily stores the data from a store operation and, a channel control register which contains control information including the number of the register loaded within the file, in the case of a load operation. This number is used to detect instruction dependency of the data to be loaded. Logic circuitry suspends further instruction processing if the data required from a load is not yet available. A data-in register is used to store load data until an instruction execution cycle is available for writing it back to the register file. Logic circuitry detects storage of data prior to its writing back, so as to effectively replace the register file location. During page faults, the contents of the channel address, channel data, and channel control registers are saved to permit page fault recovery.

    • Examples of the disclosure describe user environment aware single channel acoustic noise reduction. A noisy signal received by a computing device is transformed and feature vectors of the received noisy signal are determined. The computing device accesses classification data corresponding to a plurality of user environments. The classification data for each user environment has associated therewith a noise model. A comparison is performed between the determined feature vectors and the accessed classification data to identify a current user environment. A noise level, a speech level, and a speech presence probability from the transformed noisy signal are estimated and the noise signal is reduced based on the estimates. The resulting signal is outputted as an enhanced signal with a reduced or eliminated noise signal.

    • In embodiments of a flexible display flexure assembly, a flexure assembly includes a structure of pivotable links that couples first and second housing parts of a foldable electronic device. The first housing part of the foldable electronic device includes a flexible display, and the first housing part is integrated with a first section of the flexible display. The second housing part of the foldable electronic device is integrated with a second section of the flexible display. The pivotable links are implemented to collapse relative to each other to form a bend radius of the flexible display and support the flexible display in a closed position of the foldable electronic device. The structure of the pivotable links is also implemented to support the flexible display in an open position of the foldable electronic device.

    • In embodiments of a transparent display assembly, a display device includes a display panel system that is located between a first display surface and a second display surface, and the display panel system displays an image. The image is viewable through the first display surface and through the second display surface, where the second display surface and the first display surface are viewable from opposite sides of the display device. The display device also includes a multi-mode panel located between the first display surface and the second display surface. The multi-mode panel is operable to permit the image being viewable through the first and second display surfaces, and further operable to prevent the image from being viewable through the first display surface or the second display surface.
