摘要： The present invention provides a strong heat seal to a thermoplastic polyester container which can withstand hot water treatment such as retorting, and to a heat sealed container. A heat-sealable closure is also provided. It is composed of a laminate consisting of a heat-seal layer comprising as a main component a copolymerized polyester resin having a softening temperature of 120.degree. C. and a glass-transition temperature of 30.degree. to 85.degree. C., a metal substrate, and an epoxy-phenol resin primer layer interposed between them. Preferably, the container has a heat seal portion composed of a thermoplastic polyester having a fusion temperature in the crystalline state of at least 200.degree. C. This polyester portion is oriented and crystallized or heat-crystallized.

摘要： A metallic container composed of a first and a second section each composed of a metallic cup-like fabricated article having a primer coating, the two sections being lap-bonded at their circumferential open end portions by means of a thermoplastic film-like adhesive. A process for producing said metallic container is also provided which comprises a fabricating step of producing the first and second sections, an adhering step of heat-adhering a film-like adhesive to the peripheral surface of the open end portion of the second section to be laid inwardly, and a bonding step of bonding the open end portions of the first and second sections. In the metallic container, the film-like adhesive, forming a circumferential overlapping portion, is adhered to the edge of the open end portion of the second section and its inner circumferential surface following the edge.

摘要： There is provided a method of making a metallic container having a predetermined or standard height and a circumferential seam of the type which is formed by fitting a first open end portion of an upper can body having a venting portion and a second open end portion of a lower can body having a bottom portion to each other with a heat sealable adhesive layer therebetween to form a metallic container preform having a fitted portion, and heating the fitted portion thereby to fuse the adhesive layer.The container preform is placed between a first member and a second member which are oppositely disposed with a predetermined distance therebetween, such that the venting portion faces the first member and the bottom portion faces the second member, then the fitted portion is heated, simultaneously the internal pressure of the container preform is allowed to enhance, and the axial outward slip between the first and second open end portions through the fused adhesive layer which is caused by the elevated internal pressure, is suppressed by the first and second members.

摘要： The cufflink includes a decorative head element disassembly assembled to a shank and keeper unit. The decorative head element has a hole in which the shaft head with the aid of a spring which is mounted inside the element. Disassembly is achieved by pushing the two parts together, turning one about the shank a quarter turn and letting go. Within the element cavity a vertical rib is medially formed on the rear wall. The rib is horizontally notched intermediate the opening and edge of the element. The bow of the spring is received in the notch ad is resiliently loaded by a retainer located at the bow. The securement plate on which the round-tipped projection is mounted in the cavity so as to project outwardly in the hole is formed as a thin, dished portion of the vertical rib.
