摘要： Methods, protocols and systems for communicating in a multi-hop wireless mesh network may include explicitly providing information relating to backhaul wireless link qualities in multi-hop wireless mesh network to next generation subscriber stations in a first mode. In a second mode, embodiments are configured to implicitly provide indicia of multi-hop wireless link qualities to legacy subscriber stations by adjusting a transmit power of frames sent to the legacy subscriber stations. A source-to-CRS (SC) link quality of an SC wireless channel may be estimated using signal quality information derived from a packet transmitted by a source station and received by the CRS. A CRS-to-destination (CD) link quality of a CD wireless channel may also be estimated using signal quality information derived from a packet transmitted by a destination station and received by the CRS. A source-to-destination (SD) link quality parameter representing SD link quality may be extracted by the CRS from the packet transmitted by the destination station. The CRS may decide whether to participate with the source station or with another CRS in transmitting an SD packet based upon the SC link quality, the CD link quality, the SD link quality, or a combination thereof. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

摘要： Embodiments of a Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are disclosed herein. The gNB may be configured with a gNB central unit (gNB-CU) and a gNB distributed unit (gNB-DU). The gNB-CU may determine a route for delivery of a data packet to a User Equipment (UE) on an integrated access backhaul (IAB) of relays. The gNB may generate a physical layer (PHY) data packet in accordance with a split between functionality of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer at the gNB-CU and functionality of a radio link control (RLC) layer at the gNB-DU. The PHY data packet may include the data packet, a PDCP header, an adaptation layer header, an RLC header, a medium access control (MAC) header, and a PHY header. The adaptation layer header may indicate one or more relays included in the route.

The hardware and software of the video conferencing application can limit the video transmitted to the user to include only the selected area of the scene. Transmitting only the selected area of the scene, and excluding the non-selected area of the scene from transmission, can more efficiently use the available bandwidth of the video conferencing application.
