    • According to a humidity controller (10), a first heat exchanger chamber (37) and a second heat exchanger chamber (38) are arranged next to each other in the left-to-right direction in the casing (11). A first adsorption heat exchanger (51) is accommodated in the first heat exchanger chamber (37), and a second adsorption heat exchanger (52) is accommodated in the second heat exchanger chamber (38). The humidity controller (10) alternately performs an operation in which outdoor air passes through the first adsorption heat exchanger (51) and room air passes through the second adsorption heat exchanger (52), and an operation in which outdoor air passes through the second adsorption heat exchanger (52) and room air passes through the first adsorption heat exchanger (51). In the humidity controller (10), dampers (45, 47) which face the first heat exchanger chamber (37) near a supply fan (26), are positioned at locations close to the second heat exchanger chamber (38), and dampers (46, 48) which face the second heat exchanger chamber (38) near an exhaust fan (25), are positioned at locations close to the first heat exchanger chamber (37). This structure reduces a difference between pressure losses of the air in the casing (11) during the respective operations.

    • A ventilation system (S) includes: a first ventilation device (10a) and a second ventilation device (10b) each including an air supply fan (26) and an exhaust fan (25); a booster fan (1) placed upstream in supply air of the air supply fan (26) of each of the ventilation devices (10a, 10b); and a controller (100) configured to control actuation of the ventilation devices (10a, 10b) and the booster fan (1). The controller (100) determines whether actuation of the ventilation device (10a, 10b) is requested or not, and outputs an actuation signal to the air supply fan (26) to the ventilation device (10a, 10b) whose actuation has been requested such that the booster fan (1) is actuated after the air supply fan (26) has been actuated.

    • In a casing (11) of a humidity controller (10), a first heat exchanger chamber (37) which accommodates a first adsorption heat exchanger (51), and a second heat exchanger chamber (38) which accommodates a second adsorption heat exchanger (52) are arranged next to each other in the left-to-right direction. An indoor air side passage (32) and an outdoor air side passage (34) are provided on the rear panel portion (13) side of the heat exchanger chambers (37, 38), and a supply side passage (31) and exhaust side passage (33) are provided on the front panel portion (12) side of the heat exchanger chambers (37, 38). The rear panel portion (13) is provided with an outdoor air intake opening (24) and an indoor air intake opening (23) at locations close to a center of the rear panel portion (13) in the left-to-right direction. A first side panel portion (14) is provided with a supply opening (22) at a location close to the front, and a second side panel portion (15) is provided with an exhaust opening (21) at a location close to the front. A supply fan (26) is connected to the supply opening (22), and an exhaust fan (25) is connected to the exhaust opening (21). By this structure, a pressure loss at a time when air flows in the casing can be reduced.

    • A humidity control apparatus (10) includes: a casing (11); exhaust and air-supplying fans (25, 26) and dampers (41-48, 83, 84) for exchanging the outside air and the room air with each other via air passageways (31-34, 37, 38, 81, 82) of the casing (11); and a refrigerant circuit (50) for controlling the humidity of the air passing through the air passageways. The humidity control apparatus (10) further includes a controller (60) for monitoring an abnormality inside the apparatus and determining the type of the detected abnormality. When the detected abnormality is an abnormality related to the refrigerant circuit (50) and is not an abnormality related to the exhaust and air-supplying fans (25, 26) and the dampers (41-48, 83, 84), the controller (60) stops the refrigeration cycle of the refrigerant circuit (50) to shut down the humidity-controlling mode, and keeps the ventilation mode available.
