    • A liquid ejecting head is constituted by a substrate to which elements for generating energy utilized for ejecting liquid and a supply port for supplying the liquid to be ejected are provided; a plurality of ejection outlets, for ejecting the liquid, provided corresponding to the elements; pressure chambers each communicating with an associated ejection outlet; and flow paths communicating between the pressure chambers and the supply port. The flow paths include at least one pair of flow paths connected to an associated pressure chamber in a symmetrical manner and include flow paths overlapping with each other with respect to a direction from an associated ejection outlet toward the substrate.

    • A recording head has a recording element substrate on which a plurality of recording elements and a first connection electrode connected to the recording elements are disposed, a driving element substrate on which a plurality of driving elements for driving the plurality of recording elements and a second connection electrode connected to the driving elements are disposed, a circuit substrate connected to the driving element substrate for inputting a signal from outside to the driving elements, and a pressure contact member creating a pressure contact force for bringing the recording element substrate and the driving element substrate into pressure contact with each other.     • An ink jet printing apparatus and an ink jet printing method are provided which, when printing small ink droplets at high resolution, can make white lines caused by an “end dot deflection” less visually conspicuous. To that end, an ink jet print head used has a plurality of nozzle substrates arranged that an overlapping region in which the printable areas of respective nozzle substrates partly overlap is formed. According to a print density to be achieved, each of the nozzles corresponding to the overlapping region is controlled for ejection/non-ejection of ink. With this method, it is possible to print as many dots as most match the intensity of the “end dot deflection” phenomenon that varies according to the print density. This enables a blank line to be filled with an appropriate number of dots at all times, regardless of the width of the blank line.

    • A method is provided which is intended to reduce a visibility of ink dots ejected onto a print medium during a preliminary ejection operation to produce a satisfactory printed image. Preliminary ejection data is compared with image data. When the preliminary ejection necessary to performed on a pixel that has no image data, image data of a pixel close to the pixel being processed is searched. When image data exists, the image data is moved to a pixel that has preliminary ejection data. The preliminary ejection data is added to the image data one scan at a time to perform printing.
