    • Methods, systems and computer program products for providing hyperlinked video are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, when a user pauses playback of a video on a video frame, the hypervideo media player is adapted to query a hyperdata function and request hyperlinked object information associated with the paused video frame. The hyperdata function is adapted to respond to the query with hyperlinked object information for the paused video frame. The hypervideo media player receives the hyperlinked object information and updates the paused video frame to display the hyperlinked object information. When the user selects a hyperlinked object, the hypervideo media player is adapted to perform the hyperlink action associated with the selected hyperlinked object. When the user resumes playback of the video, the hyperlinked object information may be discarded or cached for later viewing.

    • Methods and systems for improving trunk utilization for calls to ported numbers are disclosed. A method for improving media trunk utilization for calls directed to ported numbers includes receiving a call setup message associated with the call in a communications network and determining whether the call setup message is directed to a ported number. In response to determining that the call is directed to a ported number, called party information is extracted from the call setup message. A lookup is performed in a number portability database using the called party information to locate a routing number for the called party. A media trunk is selected for the call based on the routing number. The call is then routed through a media gateway associated with the media trunk.

    • According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for location-based policy enhancement. The method includes receiving a message containing location information identifying a current geographic location for a user device. The method also includes analyzing the location information to determine if the user device is located in a geographic region associated with a location based policy enhancement offer. The method further includes in response to determining that the user device is located in the geographic region associated with the location-based policy enhancement offer, generating a signaling message containing instructions to modify a policy attribute associated with the user device, wherein the policy attribute corresponds to the location-based policy enhancement offer. The method further includes communicating the signaling message to a policy control function associated with the user device.

    • Methods, systems, and computer readable media for using a signaling message routing node to provide a backup subscriber information management service are disclosed. According to one method, a signaling message routing node obtains information associated with a subscriber. The signaling message routing node receives a first subscriber information management message including a message destination and being associated with the subscriber. The signaling message routing node determines whether the message destination is operable to process the first subscriber information management message. If the message destination node is operable to process the first subscriber information management message, the signaling message routing node routes the first subscriber information message to the message destination. If the message destination is not operable to process the first subscriber information management message, the signaling message routing node responds to the first subscriber information management message on behalf of the message destination.
