    • An electric wire holding case which prevents oil from leaking through an electric wire extending into the oil cover of a transmission case or the like. A body and a lid-like holder are included; a partition wall having electric wire insertion holes is provided inside the cylindrical portion of the body; partition chambers are defined on the wall in such a manner that the chambers communicate with the holes at one end of each of the chambers and are open at the other ends thereof; the holder has electric wire insertion holes, and resin injection holes; an engagement member is secured to the exposed portion and accommodated in the chamber corresponding thereto; the chamber is closed at the latter end thereof by the holder; and the resin, which has a softness after being set, is filled into the chamber through the resin injection hole and solidified in the chamber.

    • A terminal support has a first main body. Wall plates are arrayed on the first main body in a first direction so as to define a first space between each of adjacent ones of the wall plates. The first space is adapted to receive a terminal having a blade portion and a sheathed electric wire. The blade portion extends in the first direction, and no clearance is formed between both ends in the first direction of the terminal and the adjacent ones of the wall plates. Chamfered portions are formed on both sides in the first direction of a tip end of each of the wall plates. A punch has a second main body. Press members are arrayed on the second main body in the first direction so as to define a second space between each of adjacent one of the press members. Each of the press members is inserted into the first space to press the sheathed electric wire against the blade portion of the terminal while each of the wall plates is inserted into the second space, when the terminal support and the punch are approached in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.

    • A terminal extracting arrangement consists of a connector and a terminal extracting tool. The connector includes a connector housing having a terminal accommodating chamber, a tool hole and a flexible lance. The lance is provided with an engagement projection for engagement with a terminal, and a leading projection for engagement with the tool. The terminal extracting tool includes a rod-shaped leading end provided with a slanted face. In order to avoid a collision of a tip of the tool with a front face of the engagement projection, an angle .theta. of the slanted face of the tool is equal to or more than an angle .alpha. of a tangential line linking a sliding point on the leading projection with another sliding point on the engagement projection. In the relationship, both of the sliding points are included within a range of height H of the slanted face and the angle .alpha. is an angle defined by the tangential line and the inserting direction of the terminal extracting tool.

    • In a connector assembly including a pair of first and second connector housings, first and second adjacent connector housing units constituting of the first connector housing are coupled so as to be slidable in a fitting direction. A resilient securing arm is formed on an opposite wall of the first connector housing unit, a provisional securing piece is formed on another opposite wall of the second connector housing unit, and a protrusion for releasing provisional securing is formed on a fitting plane of the second connector housing. The resilient securing arm is abutted on said provisional securing piece to secure the first connector housing unit to the second connector housing unit provisionally in a state where the former is ahead of the latter. After the first connector housing unit is mated with the second connector housing, the protrusion is hit on the provisional securing piece so that provisional securing of the first and second connector housing units is released; and thereafter, the second connector housing unit is mated with the second connector housing.

    • The present invention provides a method and a structure for coupling two mating connectors for use in vehicles, wherein the structure includes a first connector attached to the vehicle body side wire harness; a second connector attached to the door side wire harness, and a panel provided to the vehicle body for fixing the first connector to a connector fixing hole formed therein, in which the first connector further includes a pair of fitting flanges protrudedly formed at opposite lateral ends of the front portion thereof so as to be fitted with the outside surface of the panel, and a pair of resilient locking pieces respectively disposed behind said fitting flanges to be fitted with the inner surface of the panel. Since the construction is as such, when the first connector is passed through the connector fixing hole from inner side to outer side of the vehicle body side, the fitting operation thereof to the connector fixing hole can be easily done from outside the vehicle body. Furthermore, since the second connector is covered with a grommet having a sealing lip projecting forwardly therefrom, and a resisting force of the sealing lip per unit area at one side thereof is made larger than that at the other side thereof when the two mating connectors are completely coupled, a deterioration in the sealing function of the sealing lip can be avoided even from door movements.
