摘要： An electronic wireless hand held multimedia device includes a microprocessor and more than one wireless transceiver modules enabling wireless communications over a variety of standards, including Cellular (e.g., GSM, CDMA, CPRS, 3G), 802.11 (e.g., WLAN), and short range (e.g., Bluetooth, infrared, RFID), for the retrieval, processing and delivery of multimedia data to/from remote data resources (e.g., Internet, servers). The hand held device can include any of: a touch sensitive display screen configured to display multimedia data including video, text and GPS maps, and accept user input; a cartridge reader configured to exchange data with an electronic cartridge; a GPS module configured to operate with mapping resources and provide location information and GPS mapping; a mobile payment module enabling mobile payments via a variety of billing arrangements; a security module enabling protected data management and communications security; a video camera enabling the capture, storage, processing and transmission of video and pictures.

摘要： Wearable devices can be used to associate patients with healthcare providers, within and outside of a healthcare facility. Wearable devices and transponders can be used to track patient location within a facility and determine when a healthcare provider is within close proximity to a patient to provide record access, track and record treatment, and authorize treatment. A patient profile stored in a server can associate patients and healthcare providers. Treatment notifications can be provided to health care providers authorized to receive electronic notifications when a patient receives subsequent treatment at a facility or by a new and/or unregistered healthcare provider. Notification lists can be stored in the patient profile accessible via the server when a patient is admitted for treatment at a treatment facility.

The wearable device can access a data network and determine a user's location. An authorized user can be provided with data based on the user's identity and location as determined by a wearable device. The location of a user within a venue can be determined using radio frequency transponders in communication with a wearable device and authenticating the user via biometric attributes of a user's eye as captured by a imaging device associated with the wearable device. Sensitive data can be managed in association with a patient based on health provider authentication and identity of a transponder used in association with the patient.
