    • The present invention can include a method, computer program product, and system for mediating access to content of a software dump. The invention can identify an event occurring within a computing device, which causes data to be dumped to file. A dump file can be created responsive to the event, wherein the dump file includes data defining a state of the computing device. Using an analysis module to analyze the dump file to determine content to be placed in a tailored dump file. In one embodiment, custom analysis modules or custom modifications to existing analysis modules can be added to the computing device at any time, which permits a tailoring of dumps to cover circumstances not originally known in advance of a situation for which they are needed. The tailored dump file can include a subset of the content of the dump file for which access privileges have been granted in accordance with the analysis module. The output file can be created, which comprises the determined content.

    • A method, apparatus and computer-usable medium for using wildcards in a JMS Topic name. The method includes the steps of sending to a Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) a storage message for messages that are identified by an identifier that includes a topic stock identifier and a topic wildcard indicator; and sending an implementation message from the JNDI to a middleware instructing the middleware to store new messages in any topic having the topic stock identifier. The implementation message causes the middleware to create a special topic that includes the topic stock identifier and the topic wildcard indicator, a query of all topics that include the topic stock identifier, and a generation of a reusable dynamic message flow instruction to a broker to direct future new messages from a publisher to all topics having the topic stock identifier.

    • A system and method are provided for supplying a specified minimum level of power to a laptop computer or other device during a battery replacement procedure. In the system, a first battery has a plurality of terminal pairs, each terminal pair comprising positive and negative terminals. The system further includes a battery interface comprising two pairs of contact points, the contact points of each pair adapted to engage corresponding terminals of one of the terminal pairs to couple power from the first battery to the laptop. The power provided to the device by either of the terminal pairs is sufficient to supply the specified minimum level of power. A structure is configured to selectively support the first battery in both normal operating and battery exchange positions, with respect to the battery interface, so that the terminals of at least one terminal pair are always engaged with contact points of a contact pair when the first battery is in the normal operating or the exchange position, or is being moved therebetween. A second battery, substantially identical to the first battery, is adapted for placement with respect to the structure to bring terminals of a terminal pair of the second battery into engagement with contacts of one of the contact pairs, when the first battery is in the battery exchange position.
