    • A copper wiring material surface protective liquid is provided that is used in production of a semiconductor circuit device containing copper wiring, and consists of an aqueous solvent and an acetylene alcohol compound containing at least 3-phenyl-2-propyn-1-ol. A method for producing a semiconductor circuit device is provided that contains: forming an insulating film and/or a diffusion preventing film on a silicon substrate; then forming a copper film by a sputtering; then forming a copper film or a copper alloy film containing 80% by mass or more of copper thereon by a plating method; and flattening the film by a chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) method, thereby providing a semiconductor substrate containing a flattened copper wiring, in which the semiconductor substrate having an exposed surface of a copper wiring material is treated by making in contact with the copper wiring material surface protective liquid.

    • Herein disclosed is a test device for testing an integrated circuit (IC) chip having side edge portions each provided with a set of lead pins. The test device comprises a socket base, contact units each including a contact support member and socket contact members, and anisotropic conductive sheet assemblies each including an elastic insulation sheet and conductive members. The anisotropic conductive sheet assemblies are arranged to hold each conductive member in contact with one of the socket contact members of the contact units. The test device further comprises a contact retainer detachably mounted on the socket base to bring the socket contact members into contact with the anisotropic conductive sheet assemblies to establish electrical communication between the socket contact members and the conductive members of the anisotropic conductive sheet assemblies. Each of the contact units can be replaced by a new contact unit if the socket contact members partly become fatigued, thereby making it possible to facilitate the maintenance of the test device. Furthermore, the lead pins of the IC chip can be electrically connected to a test circuit board with the shortest paths formed by part of the socket contact members and the conductive members of the anisotropic conductive sheet assemblies.

    • A hermetically sealed rotary compressor includes a generally cylindrical sealed vessel having an oil reservoir defined therein for accommodating a quantity of lubricating oil, a drive unit within the sealed vessel, and a compressor mechanism within the sealed vessel. An oil supply tube having first and second open ends opposite to each other is disposed with the first open end communicated with the oil reservoir and the second open end communicated with the compression compartment while a generally intermediate portion of the oil supply tube extends outside the sealed vessel.

    • In a piano mechanism, the sound volume can be effectively controlled without changing the feel of the key or tone quality. A hammer regulating button projecting from a hammer rail contacts the upper face of a catcher just before a hammer strikes a string. By restricting the string striking movement, the volume of string striking sound is controlled, irrespective of the mechanical operation of a jack or other associated transmitting components responsive to the key depressing. No cushioning material is required between hammer and string. In a piano having an electronic sound source built therein, even when the keys are depressed, the hammer can be stopped from striking strings by the provision of a hammer shank stop rail and a catcher regulating button. Therefore, without generating a string striking sound, sounds are generated from the electronic sound source. By manually turning an adjusting screw of the catcher regulating button, the position of the hammer when stopped can be adjusted. Therefore, even after repeated use, the string striking movement can be positively stopped.
