    • A vehicle steering apparatus comprises a rotation transmission mechanism 4 which connects a first shaft 3 connected to an operating member 2 with a second shaft 5 connected to vehicle wheels 9 so as to enable the rotation to be transmitted. An actuator 61 rotatably drives one of a plurality of rotation transmission elements in the rotation transmission mechanism 4. The control device 65 has a steady control mode in which the actuator 61 is controlled such that the rotation speed of one of the rotation transmission elements becomes equal to the determined rotation speed of the first shaft 3. The rotation transmission ratio becomes 1 when the rotation speed of one of the rotation transmission elements becomes equal to the rotation speed of the first shaft 3.

    • A planetary gear apparatus whose gears are all constituted by continuous shifted gears. A backlash between the input sun gear and each of the input side planetary gears is adjusted by pressing a second carrier plate supporting each integrated pair of the input side planetary gears and the output side planetary gears and moving it in the axial length direction by a ball bearing by a screwing operation of an adjusting nut. A backlash between the output sun gear and each of the output side planetary gears is also adjusted by pressing the output sun gear and moving it in the axial length direction by the ball bearing by the screwing operation of the adjusting nut. Accordingly, the backlash of all meshing portions can be adjusted during or after completion of the assemblage.

    • An electric recording material comprising(A) a semiconductive resin layer comprising a resin matrix and a conductivity-imparting agent dispersed therein and having a surface resistance of more than 1 ohm to less than 10.sup.5 ohms,(B) a metal-containing resin layer comprising a resin matrix and 5 to 60% by volume of a metal powder dispersed therein and having a surface resistance of 10.sup.5 to 10.sup.16 ohms, said metal-containing layer being laminated to one surface of said semiconductive resin layer (A),(C) an electrically conductive covering layer having a surface resistance not exceeding 10.sup.4 ohms and being lower than that of the semiconductive resin layer (A), said covering layer being laminated to the other surface of said resin layer (A), and(D) optionally, a protective covering resin layer having a higher surface resistance than that of said covering layer (C) and a thickness of not more than 10 microns, said protective covering layer being laminated to said conductive covering layer (C);and a method for electric recording using said material. The use of said material permits recording at low voltages.

    • There is provided a steering apparatus to ease an uncomfortable feeling given to an operator when a steering wheel is connected to a steering mechanism, on a fail. The apparatus includes a unit that varies an angular ratio of a steering angle of front wheels with respect to an operational angle of a steering wheel. The apparatus also includes a connection unit such as a electromagnetic clutch for connecting the steering wheel to the steering mechanism in order to fix the angular ratio, on a fail such as a failure of a steering motor. The apparatus also includes a rotational body which relatively rotates with respect to the steering wheel by an angular deviation upon this connection. Accordingly, since a real neutral position of the steering mechanism coincides with a neutral position recognized by a pattern on the rotational body being seen, it eases the uncomfortable feeling onto the operator.

    • A method for performing electric discharge recording on the recording surface of an electric discharge recording material using a discharge recording stylus comprises interposing an electrically anisotropic non-recording layer between the recording surface and the discharge recording stylus. The non-recording layer is prepared by dispersing a metal powder in a resin matrix and has a surface resistance of at least 10.sup.8 ohms and a volume resistance of not more than 10.sup.4 ohms-cm. Electric discharge recording is performed through the non-recording layer. A composite discharge recording material comprises (a) an electric discharge-breakable semiconductive resin layer having a surface resistance of 10.sup.5 to 10.sup.16 ohms and a volume resistance of 10.sup.3 to 10.sup.14 ohms-cm, (b) a metal-containing resin layer having a surface resistance of at least 10.sup.8 ohms and a volume resistance of not more than 10.sup.4 ohms-cm, which is laminated on one surface of the semiconductive resin layer (a) and is prepared by dispersing a metal powder in a resin matrix and (c) a conductive layer laminated on the other surface of the semiconductive resin layer (a) and having a surface resistance of not more than 10.sup.4 ohms and a volume resistance of not than 10.sup.2 ohms-cm.
