摘要： An apparatus and method for providing a broadcasting service in a mobile communication system. The apparatus and method can transmit broadcasting service data using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in the mobile communication system. Broadcasting service data is encoded and modulated. The modulated data is demultiplexed into data streams corresponding to a number of orthogonal frequency subcarriers. The data streams are transformed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The transformed data streams are multiplexed using OFDM. Information with a predetermined length placed in a last part of OFDM data is copied. The copied information is added as a cyclic prefix (CP) to a head part of the OFDM data, and OFDM symbols to be transmitted are generated. The generated OFDM symbols are multiplexed into a forward channel of the mobile communication system, and the multiplexed OFDM symbols are transmitted.

In the mobile station, a controller determines the maximum number of transmissions for a transmission encoder packet if there is an initial transmission subpacket for the encoder packet, and generates an information sequence representing a size of the encoder packet, a number of retransmissions, and a determined maximum number of transmissions. A transmitter encodes the information sequence and transmits the encoded information sequence together with the initial transmission subpacket in the same time period as a time period for transmitting the initial transmission subpacket.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for generating an error detection information bit sequence for determining a length of data sequence transmitted in a communication system. The apparatus comprises a plurality of cascaded registers, the number of which is identical to the number of bits in the error detection information bit sequence, and a plurality of adders arranged on paths determined by a predetermined generator polynomial, each of the adders adding a bit sequence received through an input path to a feedback bit sequence. During reception of the control information sequence, an operator generates the feedback bit sequence by sequentially adding bits of the control information sequence to output bits of a final register and provides the generated feedback bit sequence to the adders. After completion of receiving the control information sequence, the operator sequentially adds a preset input bit to output bits of the final register and outputs the addition result as the error detection information bit sequence. An initial value controller provides the registers with a selected initial value separately determined for the data sequences.

摘要： A base station apparatus for controlling power of individual control information transmitted to mobile stations. A first mobile station receives its own control information, and a second mobile station receives its own control information and control information for the first mobile station. A receiver receives information on forward channel conditions of the mobile stations for a previous time period. A channel transmitter transmits individual control information to the first mobile station and the second mobile station for a preset time period. A required transmission power calculator calculates power levels required for transmitting control information to each of the mobile stations for the preset time period taking into consideration the forward channel condition of each of the mobile stations and transmission power used for transmitting control information to each of the mobile stations for the previous time period. A transmission power controller transmits control information for the first mobile station at a higher power level out of the calculated required power levels and transmits control information for the second mobile station at a corresponding power level out of the calculated required power levels.
