    • The invention provides a user device (3) connected to a source unit (2) through a communication network for receiving digital transmissions in the form of bursts from a source unit. The user device comprises a receiver (300) for receiving bursts from the source unit, and a rendering unit (36) for rendering the digital broadcast transmission based on the received bursts. The user device further includes: a buffer (320) for buffering for each received burst for a predefined buffer duration, the user device being provided to transmit the buffered bursts to the rendering unit in response to expiry of the predefined buffer duration, and a quality analyzer (37) for evaluating a quality indicator related to the quality of the burst, checking whether the quality indicator matches a quality condition related to a predefined quality threshold, and in response to the quality indicator of the received burst not matching the quality condition, requesting retransmission of the burst, the quality analyzer (37) being arranged to operate within the predefined buffer duration.

    • A method and system for processing electronic mail. Electronic mails are created via specifications in a document that includes a recipient type section and at least two recipient content sections. The recipient type section identifies recipient types and recipient(s) of electronic mails for each recipient type. Each recipient content section identifies one or more recipients of the electronic mails and content to be selectively included in the electronic mail of only the one or more recipients. Creating electronic mails includes generating an electronic mail for each recipient. The electronic mail generated for each recipient contains a recipient list that includes the recipient as having the recipient type identified in the recipient type section. The electronic mail generated for each recipient contains the content of recipient content sections that identifies the recipient and does not contain the content of any recipient content section that does not identify the recipient.

    • The invention provides a retransmission manager for use in a digital content delivery system, wherein the delivery system comprises a plurality of user devices, a set of content providers for delivering digital content to the user devices in the form of bursts of content through a source unit. The retransmission manager is connected to the user devices to receive notifications therefrom, each notification received from a given user device identifying a burst received by the given user device which is candidate for retransmission. The retransmission manager selects a set of bursts among the bursts identified by the notifications based on the amount of available bandwidth at the source unit and on negotiation messages received from at least one of the plurality of content providers, the negotiation message being related to at least one burst identified in the notifications and including, for each burst, a negotiation parameter. The retransmission manager then sends a request for retransmission of the selected bursts to the source unit.
