Within a document (e.g., a web page, a word processing document, a list of electronic mail messages), a link to other content or another document is selected and the content is identified before a user clicks on the link to open the content. The content is placed into a safe cache that prevents the content from adversely affecting the user's computing device. The content is scanned and/or its behavior is analyzed to detect any security threats or undesirable content (e.g., viruses, worms, scripts, adware, spyware, pornography). Results of the analysis may be collected at a central server. The link or an associated indicator may be configured to indicate whether a threat is present; more information may be provided as desired. A user may be provided with various options to ignore a threat, disable the link, etc.

摘要： A method and apparatus for enhanced browsing. The apparatus includes a user interface for presenting an enhanced browsing window of content identified by a link in a page displayed by a browser. The apparatus may include a prefetcher for fetching or prefetching the content and a cache for storing the window. The apparatus may also include an ad interface for retrieving advertisements for display with the content. When a first page is displayed in the browser, content identified by a link to a second page is automatically fetched and an enhanced browsing window, which may initially be invisible, is built. When a user mouses-over a status indicator associated with the link, the window is automatically displayed and the user can navigate the displayed content. The status indicator may change appearance to indicate a status of the prefetching (e.g., initiated, completed, success, failure, communication error).

摘要： This invention integrates a novel technique for mappers to efficiently collect attributes utilizing various wireless systems such as bluetooth. The wireless technique in the data-gathering device allows the flag-man/data gatherer to input useful information into the device, which can readily be available to the mapper at the other end. This invention makes the traditional mapping technique much more efficient and reliable. Due to the ability to exchange data promptly, it nearly diminishes the room for discrepancies. This device overcomes mainly two deficiencies in current mapping device: the need to use a wire to connect data recording device to a data-collecting device, and the need to use some form of oral communication (for ex. use of a radio transmission at an accident investigation site between police officers) to relay the attributes of the data being collected. This proves to be very efficient by cutting down the investigation data collection time to nearly half, especially at the times when there is heavy traffic and the accident needs to be cleared up as quickly as possible.

The cards may be mechanically moved one at a time from a receiving area for the deck to a buffer area where more than one card is temporarily stored. The cards in the buffer area are then mechanically moved to a card delivery area where the cards may be manually removed, one-at-a-time, by a dealer. The cards are read one-at-a-time inside of the dealing shoe, either before the buffer area or after leaving the buffer area, but preferably before the cards are being manually removed from the card delivery area. The information from the card reading may be used for game tracking, hand tracking, player information, and other security issues at casino table card games.

The display on the telephone displays a message that asks the user to enter an access code via the telephone dialpad. If, however, the correct access code is not entered, the system communicates the unauthorized removal of the PDA to pre-selected phone numbers, pager numbers or email addresses.
