    • A motor including a magnet, an armature, a common brush, a low-speed drive brush, and a high-speed drive brush is disclosed. The magnet forms four or more magnetic pole portions. The armature includes a rotation shaft, an armature having fourteen teeth, a coil wound around the teeth, and a commutator having fourteen segments arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotation shaft. The common brush, low-speed drive brush, and high-speed drive brush are spaced apart and arranged in the circumferential direction of the rotation shaft and each have a width in the circumferential direction of the rotation shaft. The number of teeth is the same as the number of segments. When P represents the number of magnetic pole portions of the magnet and S represents the number of teeth, (2S/P) is an odd number. The width of each brush and the location of the brush in the circumferential direction are set so that the three types of brushes, which are the common brush, the low-speed drive brush, and the high-speed drive brush, all do not simultaneously short-circuit two of the segments that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction.

    • A yoke receives an armature and a cooling fan and has air inlet and outlet openings. A water blocking cover substantially covers the inlet and outlet openings of the yoke. The cover includes an intake duct, an exhaust duct and a partitioning member. The air is drawn from outside of the cover into the air inlet openings through the intake duct upon rotation of the fan. The air is discharged from the air outlet openings to the outside of the water blocking cover through the exhaust duct upon the rotation of the fan. The partitioning member is located in a space between the water blocking cover and the yoke and restrains free communication of the air between the intake duct and the exhaust duct through the space between the water blocking cover and the yoke.

    • A magenta dye-donor element and a thermal transfer sheet using it which can provide good printed images are disclosed.     • A guitar synthesizer has a guitar body (10) and a synthesizer portion (20). The body (1) of the guitar extends toward a head (3) in a direction so that an end (11) serving as a first vibratory member in the body base to which a neck (2) is connected, intersects with the neck. A second end (13) serving as the second vibratory member may also intersect with the neck. A non-vibratory portion (12) is interposed between the first and the second vibratory members (11, 13). A reinforcing frame (4) is attached to the head and body to interconnect them with the shortest distance for providing a firm connection from the non-vibratory portion of the body to a part of the head closer to a nut (5) than to the head end. Thus, the connection between the head and the frame is located below the central point of the distance between the nut and the top end of the head. Such a structure suppresses vibrations of the neck and an early attenuation of the fundamental frequency due to the vibration of the strings (7), are avoided.
