摘要： An absorbent article having a stretchable substrate and an absorbent composite comprising a layer of adhesive composition in contact with the stretchable substrate. A layer of particulate superabsorbent material is applied to and held by the adhesive composition. The absorbent composite is secured to the substrate by the adhesive composition. The stretchable substrate has a recovery in at least one of the lateral direction and the longitudinal directions of the article as determined by an Elongation and Recovery Test, and the absorbent article has a recovery in the at least one of the lateral direction and the longitudinal direction as determined by the Elongation and Recovery Test that is at least about 60 percent of the recovery of the substrate in the at least one of the lateral direction and the longitudinal direction.

摘要： Absorbent articles having form fitting properties are disclosed. In particular, the absorbent articles include at least one waist elastic member that extends a substantial distance in the longitudinal direction. The waist elastic member, for instance, may be positioned in a front region of the article, in a back region of the article or in both the front and back regions. The waist elastic member includes a breathable elastic film. In order for the film to be breathable, the film includes apertures. The apertures appear on the film according to a particular pattern and having a particular diameter so that the film retains desired stretch properties.

The material basis weight of the component may be increased by introducing a material basis weight increasing agent onto at least a portion of the component. The material basis weight increasing agent comprises selected ratios of crystalline and amorphous polymers. In some versions of the invention, polymers capable of existing in different configurations (e.g., a polymer such as polypropylene which can exist in an atactic, syndiotactic, or isotactic configuration) are used to prepare the material basis weight increasing agents of the present invention.

In some versions of the invention, polymers capable of existing in different configurations (e.g., a polymer such as polypropylene which can exist in an atactic, syndiotactic. or isotactic configuration) is used to prepare adhesives of the present invention. As an example, a selected amount of isotactic polypropylene is blended with a selected amount of atactic polypropylene to prepare an adhesive composition having one or more performance properties (e.g., bond strength) that are superior to the performance properties of a conventional hot-melt adhesive.

The elastic laminate materials have highly desirably properties of extensibility and elastic recovery, and cloth-like aesthetic properties of softness and drapability. In embodiments, the elastic laminate materials may include a second fibrous nonwoven web bonded to the opposite side of the elastic member. Also disclosed herein is a process for forming the elastic laminate materials. Such elastic laminate materials are highly useful for components in or on personal care products, protective wear garments, medical care products, bandages and the like.

摘要： The present invention discloses a disposable scrubbing product for use in household cleaning or personal care applications. The scrubbing product of the invention is a multi-layer laminate product and generally includes at least two distinct layers, an abrasive layer and an absorbent fibrous layer such as a layer tissue made from papermaking fibers, a layer of coform, an airlaid web, or combinations thereof. The abrasive layer is formed primarily of polymeric fibers in a disordered or random distribution as is typical of fibers deposited in meltblown or spunbond processes so as to form an open, porous structure. In one embodiment, multiple layers of an abrasive structure are releasably attached together. In this manner, the top or outermost layer may be removed after being used in order to expose an unused abrasive structure located below the discarded layer.

摘要： An adhesive composition including an atactic polymer, an isotactic polymer, and an extensible base polymer, such as ethylene-vinyl acetate and/or ethylene methacrylate. The composition may also include a tackifier, such as a high softening point tackifier resin, a low softening point additive, and/or other additives, such as an antioxidizing agent, a plasticizer, mineral oil, color pigment, filler, polymer compatibilizer, or a combination of any of these additives. Facing layers, particularly stretchable and/or elastomeric substrates, can be bonded with the adhesive composition. The adhesive composition maintains high bond strength, even at body temperature and after initial stretching. Such adhesive compositions and laminates can be made according to a method of the invention.
