摘要： A video content controller includes a memory and a microprocessor. The memory is configured to store non-transitory computer-readable instructions and video data representing a temporally-varying scene having a plurality of scene-regions. The microprocessor adapted to execute the instructions to (i) receive a current stream-segment of a video stream corresponding to a first scene-region of the plurality of scene-regions during a current playback-time interval, (ii) download, to a memory, a first video segment of a tagged scene-region within the first scene-region, (iii) receive a first display-region signal indicating at least one of a selection and a feature of the first scene-region, (iv) combine the current stream-segment and the first video segment as a video signal, and (vi) transmit, in response to the first display-region signal, the video signal to a display device.

摘要： Image data relating to real-world objects or persons is collected from a scene while collecting audio data relating to the real-world objects or persons from the same scene. The audio data is used to derive sound objects corresponding to the real-world objects or persons. The image data is used to derive video objects corresponding to the real-world objects or persons. Based on the sound objects and the video objects, candidate salient objects are generated. A salient object is selected from among the candidate salient objects. Perceptual enhancement operations are performed on the selected salient object.

摘要： An image sensor of a camera configured with a diffraction grating is used to capture a diffraction image of an image rendering surface of a display device, for example, while a target image is being rendered on the image rendering surface of the display device. The diffraction image of the image rendering surface of the display device is analyzed to obtain measurements of native display capabilities of the display device. Display capability data is transmitted to a display management module for the display device. At least a portion of the display capability data is generated from the measurements of native display capabilities of the display device that are obtained from analyzing the diffraction image of the image rendering surface of the display device.

摘要： Pixels of a display system may comprise light emitting elements whose light output levels are set based on image data as well as background areas whose light reflectance levels are set based on the same image data. These light output levels and/or light reflectance levels may also be adjusted based on an ambient light level. The background areas may comprise light reflective elements which may be controlled individually or as a whole. The light output levels of the light emitting elements and the light reflectance levels of the light reflective elements are configured to generate collectively a pixel value for the pixel dependent on the image data. One or more modulation algorithms may be used to control the energy consumption, dynamic range, color gamut, point-spread function, etc., of the pixels in the display system.
