    • A battery cover latching assembly is for use in a portable electronic device. The battery cover latching assembly includes a battery cover (10), a housing (40) and a locking member (20). The battery cover has a hook (122) formed on end thereof and a receiving hole (116) defined adjacent the hook. The housing has a catching portion formed on one end thereof. The locking member has an operating portion (22) and a cylindrical post (24) extending from one side of the operating portion. A latching portion (244) extends radially from the post and adjoins the operating portion. The operating portion is received the receiving hole of the battery cover. The post of the locking member is rotatably engaged with the catching portion of the housing. The latching portion of the locking member is releasably locked with the hook of the battery cover.

    • A holder for holding a surface contact card (40) includes a main body (10), a latch (20), a fixing portion (18) and an elastic element (30). The main body defines a receiving groove (16) and a sliding groove (17). The receiving groove is located at one side of the main body. The sliding groove is configured for receiving the surface contact card therein. The latch engages the receiving groove and selectably encloses one end of the surface contact card. The fixing portion is provided on the opposite side of the main body adjacent to the sliding groove. The elastic element sets in the fixing portion and configures for resisting the other end of the surface contact card. The frame slidably engages with the rotating element. The frame is engaged with the cover. The rotating element rotatably connects with the body. The magnetic elements make the cover close relative to the body. When the latching portion of the rotating element engages in different notches of the rotating element, magnetic force between the magnetic elements decreases so as to open the cover relative to the body.

The battery cover latching mechanism comprises a fixing portion (206) formed on the battery cover, a locking member (30) and a switch (40).
