摘要： A method for data transmission includes representing data using at least one impulse based on a ultra wideband impulse, sending the at least one impulse over an electrically conductive guided media, receiving the at least one impulse over the electrically conductive guided media, recovering the data encoded in the at least one impulse after receiving the at least one impulse over the electrically conductive guided media, storing individual bytes of the data recovered from said ultra wideband impulse signals in selectable memory locations of a plurality of buffer memories, each buffer memory for storing a plurality of said bytes, adding header data to outputs of said buffer memories and forming a plurality of variable length packets, and transmitting said plurality of packets in ultra wideband impulse output signals.

摘要： A method, system and type of database for transmitting data is disclosed in which the data is organized into a structured linear database. The structured linear database includes a routing header portion, a file allocation table, a data portion and a tailbit portion. The structured linear database may be transmitted over any type of network, such as a TM-UWB system or a fiber-optic system. Once the data to be transmitted is identified, a corresponding field is identified in the field allocation table giving the location of the data within the transmission. This field is then referenced by the user to access the specific type of data desired at the given location of the transmission. this process may be repeated enabling data to be stored on transmission lines and accessed at any point at any time providing an always on network.

This bar coded information is scanned from the video display into a host device. The bar coded information may be sent to a user in a variety of ways, including over the Internet, any intranet, or any type of telephony network. The bar coded information may be viewed by the user on the video display as part of an e-mail message, as displayed on a web-page, or as displayed on television programming. The scanned bar coded information is decoded and may then be used. A first software program may have been used to create the bar coded information, and a second and distinct software application may be used with the now decoded bar coded information.

摘要： A method and system for storing and transmitting data using variable pulse symbology over a fiber optic or ultra wide band system. Data is stored in memory, accessed and transformed into an electronic or photonic pulse and/or space which has a variable duration, the duration corresponding to the bit of data to be transmitted. The duration of the pulse and/or space is selected from a list of predetermined durations, each corresponding to a different base 10 number. The pulses and spaces may both be used to represent data, or the spaces may be used for meta data. Variable duration pulses may also be used to store data on an optical storage medium or fiber optic cable.
