摘要： Several fabricating processes for ink jet printheads are disclosed, each printhead being composed of two parts aligned and bonded together. One part is a substantially flat substrate which contains on the surface thereof a lineal array of heating elements and addressing electrodes, and the second part is a substrate having at least one recess anisotropically etched therein to serve as an ink supply manifold when the two parts are bonded together. A lineal array of parallel grooves are formed in the second part, so that one end of the grooves communicate with the manifold recess an the other ends are open for use as an ink droplet expelling nozzles. Many printheads can be made simultaneously by producing a plurality of sets of heating elements array with their addressing electrodes on a silicon wafer and by placing alignment marks thereon at predetermined locations. A corresponding plurality of sets of channels and associated manifolds are produced in a second silicon wafer and, in one embodiment, alignment openings are etched thereon at predetermined locations. The two wafers are aligned via the alignment openings and alignment marks, then bonded together and diced into many separate printheads. A number of printheads can be fixedly mounted in a pagewidth configuration which confronts a moving recording medium for pagewidth printing or individual printheads may be adapted for carriage type ink jet printing.

A fusion polypeptide of the present teachings can induce apoptosis in a target cell such as a MUC16-expressing cancer cell. 摘要： Pharmaceutical compounds, pharmaceutical compositions and methods of treatment are disclosed, wherein a compound comprises a targeting moiety which, in free form, binds a cell receptor with a dissociation constant Kd of less than about 10−7 M, and a pharmaceutically active moiety, wherein the targeting moiety is other than an oligopeptide, a polypeptide, a peptidomimetic, a protein or a protein domain, and wherein the targeting moiety and the pharmaceutically active moiety are covalently attached. In some aspects, the targeting moiety binds a sigma-2 receptor with high affinity and high specificity, and the pharmaceutically active moiety is a pro-apoptotic peptide moiety. Methods of cancer treatment are disclosed comprising administering a disclosed pharmaceutical compound to a subject in need of thereof. The treatments selectively induce apoptosis in cancer cells. These methods can further comprise co-administration of radiation therapy and/or an additional chemotherapeutic agent.

摘要： A gamma camera system includes a rotatable gantry supporting multiple detector heads each capable of receiving radiation from a region of interest of a subject disposed in an examination region. Each of the detector heads include a collimator which substantially defines the resolution and sensitivity of the respective detector head. At least two of the detector heads include collimators providing different resolution. Preferably, one of the collimators provides a detector head with substantially high resolution and another provides a detector head with substantially high sensitivity. An operator selectively combines image data detected by each of the multiple detector heads. If desired, the operator combine the image data from the multiple detector heads in a variety of manners to obtain images of various resolution and sensitivity from a single imaging procedure. The operator may also selectively weight the contribution that the image data from each of the detector heads has in the overall image. As yet another option, the operator may choose to combine only a high energy portion of the image data so as to minimize the amount of scatter events which are included in a final image.

摘要： An ink-jet printhead fabrication technique enables capillary channels for liquid ink to be formed with square or rectangular cross-sections. A sacrificial layer is placed over the main surface of a silicon chip, the sacrificial layer being patterned in the form of the void formed by the desired ink channels. A permanent layer, comprising permanent material, is applied over the sacrificial layer, and, after polishing the two layers to form a uniform surface, the sacrificial layer is removed. Preferred materials for the sacrificial layer include polyimide while preferred materials for the permanent layer include polyarylene ether, although a variety of material combinations are possible.
