    • An apparatus for connecting first and second seat areas is provided. The first and second seat area extend substantially with each other and each of the first seat areas have a corresponding second seat which it is connected to. The apparatus comprises a receiving bore fixed to one of the first and second seat areas. A threaded stem penetrates at least one connected set of the first and second areas crosswise through the receiving bore. The threaded stem has a conical spreading area and bears a nut on the side opposite the conical spreading area such that the threaded stem is freely movable axially on one side. A spreading bush encompasses the threaded stem. When the threaded stem is tightened by means of the nut, the spreading bush spreads outward over the conical spreading area and a face of the spreading bush rests firmly against one of the seat areas, an inner contour of the spreading bush rests firmly against the conical spreading area, and an outer periphery of the spreading bush rests firmly against an inner wall of the receiving bore.

    • An actuator for a motor vehicle, more specifically for a motor vehicle seat. The actuator comprises an electric motor having an output shaft, a gear that is connected to the output shaft and including a gear housing having two partially cylindrical exterior surfaces, and a spindle that communicates with the gear, the spindle defining a threading and runs transversely with respect to the output shaft. Further, the actuator comprises a gear retainer that (a) forms a surrounding grip around the gear housing, in which (b) the gear housing is held pivotal about a pivot axis that runs parallel to the output shaft, that (c) has two partially cylindrical interior surfaces, each mating the exterior surfaces against which they fit, and that (d) includes a recess or two recesses for the passage of the spindle. The gear retainer has fastening holes running parallel to the pivot axis.

    • The forwardly movable automotive vehicle seat has a seat back and a seat frame with a seat part. The automotive vehicle seat can be moved between a normally adopted utilization position and a forwardly moved position. A locking device is associated with the seat frame; the seat back has a seat back hinge and a stop device. The stop device retains the seat back in the forwardly folded position as long as the seat frame is located in a front portion of a displacement path. The stop device allows the seat back to be released so that it may be folded upward into the normal utilization position when the seat frame is located in a rear portion of the displacement path. The stop device has a first limit stop and a second limit stop, one of said limit stops being disposed on the seat frame and the other one on the seat back.

    • A seat back hinge mounting for a forwardly foldable motor vehicle seat having a first hinge arm and a second hinge arm adapted for relative rotation about a hinge pin. A locking cam is disposed on said second hinge arm and is movable between a locking position and a release position. A first stop flange and a second stop flange are provided on the first hinge arm. The locking cam cooperates with the second stop flange in the locking position and has come free from said second stop flange in the release position. A retainer lug, which is bound by said first stop flange and by said second stop flange in the circumferential direction, is provided on the first hinge arm. A limit stop cooperating with the first stop flange and being spaced the same radial distance apart from the hinge pin as the first stop flange is disposed on the second hinge arm. A retainer device prevents the locking cam from moving from the release position into a region which on the one side is located between the first stop flange and the retainer lug and which on the other side is defined by an arc of a circle about the hinge pin and by the radius of the free end of the retainer lug.
