    • A pneumatically-actuated multi-needle type chisel tool is provided having a hollow cylinder body, a piston ram fitted for axially reciprocal movement in a rearward portion of the cylinder body, an anvil fitted for axially reciprocal movement in an intermediate portion of the cylinder body, a needle holder fitted for axially reciprocal movement in a forward portion of the cylinder body and a number of needle chisels journaled for axially reciprocal movement in the needle holder. A first air passage is provided with an opening into the rearward portion of the cylinder body to introduce compressed air thereinto for moving the piston ram to and fro. A second air passage is provided with an opening into the forward portion of the cylinder body to introduce compressed air thereinto for moving the needle holder rearwardly. A cylinder cap is axially adjustably mounted to the forward portion of the cylinder body with the rear end face of the cap facing opposite to the outer peripheral forwardly facing surface of the needle holder such that the air pressure in the space of the cylinder body interior enclosed by the anvil and the needle holder is pressurized upon the anvil being rapidly moved forward by the impact from the piston ram, causing the pressurized air force to move the needle holder forwardly. Similarly, the air introduced into the forward portion of the cylinder body in front of the outer peripheral forwardly facing surface of the needle holder is compressed during the forward movement of the needle holder.

    • A bubble wash unit is provided with a wash basin for filling water, a stand assembly disposed to the bottom of the wash basin via bayonet coupling, and a bubble assembly disposed to the wash basin via snap coupling while astriding the upper edge of the wash basin in order to pneumatically connect an easily disassembable bubble disc placed on the inside bottom of the wash basin to a compressor suspensibly held within the stand assembly. Easily disassembable construction via bayonet or snap coupling enables complete protection of the compressor against wetting, easy transportation and handling of the unit, and easy replacement and/or cleaning of mechanical elements. A suspensible support successfully damps vibration of the compressor.

    • A female coupling member of a pipe coupling is provided which has a fluid passage and a vale therein. The fluid passage is separated by the valve into a first-end side adapted to be connected to a conduit and a second-end side adapted to be connected to a male coupling member. The valve is moveable between an open position for permitting a fluid to flow between the first-end side and the second-end side, and a closed position for blocking the flow of fluid. The valve is provided with a purge flow path that allows the second end side of the fluid passage to communicate with the outside when the valve is in the closed position, and that blocks the communication between the fluid passage and the outside when the valve is in the open position. Thus, the present invention simplifies the purge mechanism of the female coupling member which releases the fluid pressure remaining within the fluid passage when the valve is in the closed position.

    • An impact tool enables a front cover part to be easily attached to and detached from a housing body, with a device having a simplified structure. The front cover part has an annular fastening portion clamped to the outer peripheral surface of a front edge portion of the housing body, a cylindrical portion extending from the front end of the housing to the region of the fastening portion, and a connecting portion connecting together the cylindrical portion and the fastening portion. The fastening portion is split at a circumferential part thereof to form a pair of circumferentially opposing tongue-shaped portions. A clamping device is provided between the tongue-shaped portions, which is movable between a clamping position where it pulls the tongue-shaped portions toward each other and an unclamping position where the tongue-shaped portions are released from being pulled toward each other.
