摘要： Systems, methods, and computer program products for smart upload automation in which actions are automatically performed on a set of digital assets against a target item. In one embodiment, a system includes a network, a server machine, a client machine and a data storage device, each of which is coupled to the network. The client machine designates digital assets and a target item against which the assets will be uploaded. The digital assets are uploaded by the client machine to the data storage device via the network. The server machine automatically performs actions on the digital assets without intervention by the client machine, where the actions are associated with or in some way defined by the target item. The actions may include setting metadata values of the digital assets based upon metadata associated with the target item, or generating different renditions of the digital assets.

One aspect is a technique for displaying semantically derived facets in the search engine interface. Each of the facets comprises faceted search results. Another aspect automatically infers new metadata from the content and from existing metadata and then automatically annotates the content with the new metadata to improve recall and navigation. 摘要： A file-mapping method and system can better manage the number of items (i.e., files, subdirectories, or a combination of them) within any single directory within a storage medium. The method and system can be used to limit the number of items within the directory, direct content and content components to different directories, and provide an internally recognizable name for the filename. When searching the storage medium, time is not wasted searching what appears to be a seemingly endless list of filenames or subdirectory names within any single directory. A client computer can have requests for content fulfilled quicker, and the network site can reduce the load on hardware or software components. While the method and system can be used for nearly any storage media, the method and system are well suited for cache memories used with web servers.

摘要： Embodiments disclosed herein provide a new way to catalog digital assets derived or otherwise created from an original source such as a video, clip, movie, film, or the like. In one embodiment, time-based metadata, along with technical metadata and business metadata can be captured within a video and collected locally at a client device running media catalog client software. The collected information can be communicated to a media catalog server at the back end. The media catalog server can create a new asset based on the collected information and store the asset in a database. Multiple assets may be created to describe and reference the same video. However, the video itself is not modified and no variation of the video is created in anyway.
