    • The light guide sheet has a base of a light transmissive film, a first light-extracting section, and a second light-extracting section. The light-extracting sections having pits and projections are formed on a surface of the base. The base has a first color converter at least at a part corresponding to the position having the first light-extracting section in a thickness direction of the base. The first color converter converts light from a light source into a first color. Forming a color converter for predetermined color at each part corresponding to a plurality of the light-extracting sections allows the one color emitted from a light-emitting element to be converted into differently colored light beams at the light-extracting sections. The structure offers various patterns of illumination without increase in number of the light-emitting element.

    • A touch panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a wiring substrate provided with a plurality of wiring patterns formed thereon, and an anisotropic conductive adhesive layer. The first substrate has a first conductive layer and first electrodes extending from two opposite sides of the first conductive layer. The second substrate has a second conductive layer confronting the first surface with a space, and second electrodes extending from two opposite sides of the second conductive layer. The anisotropic conductive adhesive layer connects a terminal portion of the wiring patterns to at least one of the first electrodes and the second electrodes. The wiring substrate has a slit or an aperture between the wiring patterns at one end thereof. The touch panel of this structure is easy to produce, and provides reliable operation and electrical connection and separation.

    • Disclosed here is a touch panel with improved visibility. The polarizing plate of the touch panel has a laminated structure in which the polarizing layer is sandwiched between the upper protective layer and the lower protective layer. Of the three layers, the lower protective layer is formed as a phase-difference layer with ¼ wavelength made of a cycloolefin-based polymer. The structure protects the polarizing plate from distortion and deterioration, offering good visibility. At the same time, the structure above contributes to a reduced parts count and accordingly a cost-reduced touch panel.
