    • A valve connection array for mounting at a cabinet wall in a sealed cabinet for disposing a plurality of valve connection blocks in at least one row is disclosed. Each valve connection block includes a valve connection portion on a front surface for individually connecting a valve and associated connections ports on a rear surface for connecting pressurized medium conduits. At least one row of valve connection blocks define between opposite side surfaces thereof at least one inlet port and at least one outlet port for providing common inlet and outlet ports between juxtaposed valve connection blocks. The blocks include means for mounting the blocks in said row with said sides sealingly juxtaposed for defining said common inlet and outlet ports between blocks and with said blocks defining a common flat surface area substantially in the form of a rectangle around said row. The row of blocks is mounted into a cabinet in a rectangular opening in the cabinet wall to dispose the valve connection portions inside the cabinet and said connection ports outside the cabinet, with the rectangular flat surface area sealingly engaging an edge portion of said cabinet wall defining the opening. First and second end members are mounted to the block array for closing the common inlet and outlet ports of said valve connection block array.

    • A tool is clamped to a holder by a clamping mechanism carried by the holder. The clamping mechanism includes a plurality of clamping jaws having longitudinally extending shanks. The clamping jaws are actuated by a longitudinally reciprocable drawbar carried by the holder. The jaws are normally spring-biased to laterally inward, non-clamping positions and are actuated to a clamping position by means of a longitudinally movable drawbar carried by the holder. Actuation of the jaws occurs in a two-phase operation. In an initial phase, the shanks are displaced laterally outwardly so as to overlie a shoulder of the tool. In a subsequent phase, the shank is moved longitudinally into contact with the tool shoulder to clamp the tool against the holder.

    • The present invention relates to a procedure and an arrangement for spreading pulverized or granular additive material, preferably covering material, on the surface of a metal melt, preferably a steel melt, which is in an open metallurgical ladle by means of a spreading arrangement whereby at least a predetermined quantity of additive is made available in a dosing container whereby the dose is sub-divided into partial doses, the ladle is placed underneath the dosing container, the additive dose is made to fall under its own weight onto the surface of the metal melt and is spread out on the surface by means of a spreader which is connected to the dosing container.The arrangement for performing the procedure comprises a spreader (b 1) which consists of two or more concentrically-arranged truncated tubular cones (2), a dosing container (3), two valves (8), (9) for filling and emptying respectively the container (3). The dosing container (3) is provided with two or more concentrically arranged tubular elements (4) adjoining to the tubular cones (2) which comprise walls in concentrically arranged divisional containers and connected to a filling hopper which is common to all the divisional containers and above which a transport container (12) is placed.
