摘要： Stream control methods and devices are provided for use in a network (100) for transferring a video stream from a video server (120) to a video client (110) via a distribution chain of network resources (101, 102, 103, 106). A streaming controller (130) controls streaming settings at the client node. A bridge (150) controls the video stream by obtaining a bandwidth requirement of the video stream, and network resource data including bandwidths available on network resources. The bridge determines a resource allocation including an allocated bandwidth, based on the network resource data and the bandwidth requirement so that the video stream complies with the network resource data. The allocated bandwidth enables the streaming controller to control, in accordance with the allocated bandwidth, the streaming settings for the client. A network controller (140) receives network control data from the bridge to control, in accordance with the allocated bandwidth, the respective distribution chain associated to the respective video stream.

摘要： Methods and systems are described for forming one or more tile streams comprising: providing media data of at least one composite video stream to the input of at least one encoder, the media data of said composite video stream representing video frames comprising an image region having one or more subregions, each of said one or more subregions comprising visual content of one of said one or more video streams; providing encoder information to said encoder for configuring said encoder to generate encoded media data representing tiled video frames, a tile in said tiled video frames matching at least one of said one or more subregions; encoding media data of said composite video stream, wherein media data associated with a subregion of a video frame are encoded into independently encoded media data that have no spatial decoding dependency on media data of other subregions in said video frame, said independently encoded media data forming a tile of a tiled video frame, preferably said tile being arranged in said image region on the basis of a tile grid; and, storing said encoded media data as one or more tile streams on a storage medium, preferably on a storage medium of one or more network nodes, a tile stream comprising media data of at least one tile and tile position information for signaling a decoder to decode the media data of said tile stream into tiled video frames comprising a tile at a position as indicated by the tile position information.

The streaming process has a configurable setup, each configured setup providing respective different image data of a scene. The streaming process is executed according to a first configured setup providing first image data needed to render the current view. EEG data is determined by measuring brain signals (115) and a head movement is predicted based on the EEG data. Target image data is determined as needed for rendering a future view based on the predicted head movement. A new configured setup for providing the target image data is determined. By adapting the streaming process based on the prediction the target image data can be provided in time and efficiently using available bandwidth.

The invention further relates to a device (17) for receiving location dependent data. The device (17) comprises a receiver and a processor. The processor is configured to use the receiver to receive a broadcast data stream comprising a first location dependent part of the location dependent data and a first identifier identifying the first location dependent part at a previous instance and a second location dependent part of the location dependent data and a second identifier identifying the second location dependent part at a current instance. The processor is further configured to detect a difference between the first identifier and the second identifier and to disregard the first location dependent part when the difference is detected. The invention further relates to the methods performed by the system and the device and a computer program product enabling a computer system to perform any of these methods.
