    • Disclosed are a test strip and a method for measuring medical data. The test strip comprises an upper cover having one or more application holes; a lower support having one or more detected parts at positions corresponding to detecting units of the measuring apparatus; an erythrocyte and LDL cholesterol-filtering layer designed to filter off both of erythrocytes and LDL cholesterol from an applied blood sample by agglutinating erythrocytes and precipitating LDL cholesterol; and a reaction layer in which the blood sample free of erythrocytes and LDL cholesterol is reacted with an reagent, the filtering layer and the reaction layer being stacked between the lower support and the upper cover. Structured to filter off erythrocytes and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol from a blood sample in a single layer, the test strip of the present invention can be made to be slim and allows a low volume of blood to be analyzed.

    • The present invention relates to a communication device that automatically searches for wireless local area network (WLAN) access points, and to a method thereof. The communication device includes a GPS receiving module (12) for receiving position information of the connection device from a GPS satellite; a WLAN module (11) for connecting with the WLAN access point; a storage unit (13) for storing position information of the WLAN access point; and a controller (14) for selectively operating the WLAN module based on the position information of the communication device output from the GPS receiving module (12) and the position information of the WLAN access point stored in the storage unit (13). According to the present invention, a user terminal receiving data services through WLAN efficiently utilizes power. Also, the searching of the WLAN access points is performed automatically without the need for user manipulation.

    • A detecting method of a multiple-input multiple-output system includes the steps of: a) canceling interference between transmit signals by assigning weight values to signals received through a plurality of antennas, and determining K optimal antenna signals through channel gain estimation; b) calculating L transmit signal estimation values by quantizing the optimal antenna signals according to a predefined constellation size of L; c) calculating L residual antenna signals, in which interference of the transmit signal estimation values is removed from the received signals using the L Tx signal estimation values; d) calculating L residual transmit signal estimation values by quantizing the L residual antenna signals according to the predefined constellation size; and e) creating K×L estimated transmit signal candidate groups by repeating the calculation of the L residual transmit signal estimation values for each of the K optimal antenna signals, and detecting transmit signals from the estimated transmit signal candidate groups.
