    • An antenna device for a radio transmission-reception apparatus is disclosed which comprises an antenna element which is to be electrically and mechanically connected to a printed-circuit board fixed in a housing of the radio transmission-reception apparatus, an inverted U-shaped hollow reinforcement spacer, an antenna cover and a retaining portion formed on the housing. The reinforcement spacer has a hole formed in the top portion thereof a diameter of which is substantially equal to that of the antenna element to slide therethrough, a slit formed continuously from the hole to a base end thereof through which said antenna element can be entered in the reinforcement spacer, and a flange formed around the outer circumference of the base end. The antenna cover is constituted to accommodate therein the antenna element with the reinforcement spacer, and has a flange formed around the circumference of a base end thereof. The flanges of the antenna cover and the reinforcement spacer are fixedly supported in the retaining portion provided on the housing in a state that said flanges are stacked upon each other. Since the most of forces caused by vibration and/or impact supplied to the antenna element are absorbed by the reinforcement spacer, a mechanically and electrically connected portion between the antenna element and the printed-circuit board will be effected by the forces and thus damage to the portion will be eliminated.

The length of the central conductor is equal to one quarter of the wavelength of the central frequency (f.sub.1) in a frequency band, and the rear end thereof is isolated with the shield conductor on the rear surface of the block. Each of the lengths of the first conductors is equal to one quarter of the wavelength of a predetermined frequency (f.sub.2 -f.sub.5) in the frequency band, and the rear ends thereof are shorted with the shield conductor on the rear surface of the block. Each of the lengths of the second conductors is equal to that of the corresponding one of said first conductors, and the rear ends thereof are isolated with the shield conductor on the rear surface of the block. An input signal (S.sub.IN) iS input to the front end of the central conductor, and signal components of frequencies (f.sub.2 -f.sub.5) are respectively output through the first conductors from the front ends of the second conductor.

    • A power supply switching apparatus for switching power supplies used to all electronic appliance such as a pager and a portable telephone is described. A battery pack includes a battery and is connectable to an external DC power supply. In the battery pack, a power supply connection detecting circuit detects whether or not the external DC power supply is connected to this battery pack, and a switching circuit switches the battery and the external DC power supply. In an appliance housing a voltage is detected by a voltage detecting circuit to judge whether the detected voltage corresponds to the voltage derived from the battery power supply, or the voltage derived from the external DC power supply, and another switching circuit switches the battery power supply and a power stabilizing circuit. Both of these battery pack and appliance housing constitute the power supply switching apparatus.

    • A highspeed scanning type radio receiver is disclosed which prevents an erroneous interruption of a scanning operation caused by high frequency noises produced from a clock oscillator and a local oscillator circuit employed therein. The highspeed scanning type radio receiver includes a highspeed clock oscillator, a lowspeed clock oscillator, and a clock switching circuit for switching these highspeed clock oscillator and lowspeed clock oscillator to be connected to a CPU. Normally, a searching operation is carried out by supplying the highspeed clock to the microcomputer. When a reception signal is detected in a certain channel, the highspeed clock is changed into the lowspeed clock to be supplied to the microcomputer, whereby a reception signal is again detected. When no reception signal is detectable, the microcomputer recognizes that the detection of the reception signal under operation at the highspeed clock is caused by high frequency noises, and commences a searching operation of the next channel.

    • For sufficiently shielding an undesired electro-magnetic wave from penetrating into a communication apparatus, for instance, a car telephone through stray coupling, or leaks therefrom, an electronic circuit substrate and a case of the communication apparatus are formed of flat plates which consist of insulating material comprising magnetic material. One side surface of the flat plates are covered with conductive films. The communication apparatus itself is accommodated in the case and an electric power source connecting cable is wrapped by a similar arrangement, so as to remarkably reduce obstructions caused by undesired waves and other communications in comparison with the conventional arrangement.

    • For receiving radar waves entering an antenna horn by the heterodyne method, the system is designed so that one of the local oscillation signals produced respectively by a local oscillator for the X- and K-band radar waves, a local oscillator for the Ka-band radar wave, and a local oscillator for leaked local oscillation waves can be selected to be used as the first local oscillation signal for beating down the radar waves at a first mixer. When a radar wave has been detected in the Ka-band receiving mode with the local oscillator for the Ka-band being selected, a signal processing circuit sets the heterodyne receiving system to the leaked local oscillation wave receiving mode, selecting the local oscillator for the leaked local oscillation waves as the first local oscillator. If a radar wave is detected in this mode, the signal processing circuit inhibits a warning apparatus from issuing the regular warning.
